The UAW today endorsed Hillary Clinton for president, citing her support for UAW members, her lifelong commitment to the job security of American families, and her ability to unify and win in November.
Hillary Clinton understands our issues on trade, understands the complexities of multinational economies and supports American workers, their families and communities, said UAW President Dennis Williams.
Now is a time for unity, a time to focus on what lies ahead in November. Bernie Sanders has brought to this campaign a dialogue that has been needed for far too long. He has been, and remains, a great friend of the UAW, and of working men and women in this country. But, the fact is, Hillary Clinton has shown under pressure her ability to lead and get elected in November.
The UAWs directors went through the process of surveying and listening to members for input into the campaign season. We are a family of over 1 million active and retiree members with strong opinions. Now, we have to choose between two very good UAW friends and move forward as a united membership, said Williams.

It's ONLY the rank-and-File members that can't stand Hillary, after all. The Leadership just LOVES HER, and the kickbacks they will get/have gotten.
Like the dems, the UAW has gone full blown commie.
Captain Obvious is too busy to respond.
Thick as thieves.
don’t worry, Major That Ship Has Sailed is warming up..
oh that blows it for Trump, NOT!
The UAW does like their criminals, don’t they?
That is not surprising.
wow! a union endorsing an democrat! who’d a thunk?
No better evidence exists that Trump is not for sale, than this endorsement.
I always heard that water seeks its own level. And birds of a feather flock together. And they want me to purchase a vehicle made by Hillary worshipers? I know that they do because I get nail at least once a week want me to come to such and such dealership and buy a car. Not today.
“Like the dems, the UAW has gone full blown commie.”
The unions haven’t “gone” commie they started that way. The words united, international and brotherhood were all intended to evoke the international brotherhood of communists. Recall that nations would be done away with for one world united and run by and for its workers. I think that is still the goal.
But, really, the unions are all about controlling the money they generate. Those pensions and the huge salaries of the top leadership are the real power of the unions.
The announcement reads like pure desperation.
like one insider phoning in a favor for another.
Trump is bringing the revolution to the UAW ranks. In the end, they will be able to use this endorsement for little more than to wipe their arse.
We have a friend who’s a union guy. He hates Hillary but he’s voting for her.
Wow. An ongoing criminal enterprise endorsing one of America’s most notorious crime families.
Interesting comments. I am active UAW. I have a pension. The UAW has nothing whatsoever to do with my pension. Historically, unions formed and grew in factories in Michigan, where I live, because of working conditions and working hours, combined with low pay. Somewhere between here and there, the unions went south. Please, do not attempt to explaine unions if you do not know anything about same.
