The pilot has been identified in the crash.
Thank you for your service, Captian Jeff Kuss. May you RIP. : (
Democrats have something to celebrate today.
Are these accidents due to a shortage of parts?
At least 10 active servicemen died today in accidents on American soil. May God bless and keep them in his care. Amen.
Other websites are claiming that the presidential helicopter recovered the Thunderbird pilot. I’m not sure if obambi was with them but this is a clintonesque coincidence.
Hard to say, but someone also suggested female mechanics not strong enough to reach torque limits. That’s perhaps out of bounds but something worth considering.
Nope. Both squadrons have their share of spares and access to everybody elses.
I quit watching network news around 10 years ago because the bias just irritated me.
I tuned in tonight to see about the Blue Angels pilot. The news showed a long segment, most of which had Obama in it, on the Thunderbird crash.
They very briefly mentioned the Blue Angel crash, I mean no more than 5 seconds.
Then just to irritate me even more they had around 5 minutes solid of Hillary. Basically an unpaid campaign commercial. Then maybe 5 seconds of Trump.
The bias is getting even worse.
Most torque on thos planes is in the inch-pound range.
I doubt it. If there is no money for parts, the aircraft becomes a hangar queen until money for parts is available.
well there’s a whole group of helicopters with a POTUS when he’s traveling to a location, around 5-7 usually
This was a Blue Angle aircraft. I doubt that spare parts was in issue.
What happened to him? I saw the picture of the pilot parachuting to the ground before the plane crashed.
Wait, I’m thinking of the Thunderbird who crashed a plane today...what the heck? TWO such crashes today????
Yep. First time both teams have ever had a crash on the same day.
without speed, altitude, weather, terrain, etc etc it is pure speculation on the cause of the crash. Unfortunate for Capt. Kuss. God bless his service to the country, and his family left to mourn.
"Emergency responders who picked up Turner in the rescue helicopter brought him to a spot that happened to be on the president's motorcade route back to Air Force One."
One story earlier said that a secret service agent on one of obummer's helicopters was a certified paramedic and assesed the pilot. That version now escapes my search attempts although I read it on FR.
Yes, a Thunderbird, the pilot ejected successfully, and a Blue Angels pilot, who died in the crash.
