Actually I’m in the pharma industry and I can tell you the reasons for this is because the black docs handle more Medicaid because of the neighborhoods they practice in, example Camden NJ vs Cherry Hill or Marlton
I don’t go to black doctors, foreign doctors, or female doctors, for various reasons that seem good to me.
Have had all three in ER visits, and all were non-understandable, had an attitude, or seem to be trying to prove something.
Assuming others share those opinions, and insofar as the black population is about 13% of the country, the difference in I some explains itself.
They’re planning on it, in case you haven’t figured that out.
Typically blacks go to HBUC’s then onto either a DO or a lower tier Medical school. Then they go with a 2nd or 3rd tier residency because that is where their scores and their grades (if their school assigns grades).
Your college/university drives your med school choices. Your med school choices drive your residencies. Your residency drives your fellowship. All that combines to drive your employment.
Not rocket science by any means.
No one is guaranteed an equal salary with anuone else, no one is guaranteed clients either.

I keep hearing ads on the radio from a black doctor selling “tesstosserone” shots.
I wonder how he’s doing.
My Dr. quit treating Medicaid patients about 15 years ago.
He recently told me that in doing so, he lost 25% of his patients, which would be a death sentence to most private practices.
As it turned out, he says he didn’t lose a single dime by dropping them.

The Indian doctors around here live in palaces.
Since it’s been years since I’ve seen a doctor who’s not Indian, I suppose there is some problem here with sample size.
