Once again our president has no idea what he’s talking about.
President Obama spoke to reporters Monday about the terrorist attack on the Pulse nightclub in Orlando and said Omar Mateen had a “Glock which had a lot of clips in it.” Obama also said Mateen had an “assault rifle.”According to CNN, the President explained that Mateen acquired his guns via a background check. And he explained that the background check did not stop Manteen “because he did not have a criminal record that in some ways would prohibit him from purchasing” his weapons…
…It should be noted that Glocks do not have “clips”; they have magazines.

BOR continued to spew the crap about 2A being for personal safety last evening. NO BILL, 2A was not about personal safety, no where in the amendment does the word safety show up (nor does hunting). 2A was about having citizen soldiers, militias, to be ready in case of a extra constitutional government popped up. BOR: note how 2A comes right behind 1A, it was the underpinning of the very liberties guaranteed by the constitution. The remainder of the bill of rights are more process rather than a listing of absolute rights. The bill was drafted to directly address those areas of grievance the new republic had with the Brits and how the Articles could fail to uphold the liberties of the new republic.
