Donald Rumsfeld says endorsing Trump ‘wasn’t hard decision’

Donald Rumsfeld, a key architect of the Iraq war, announced Wednesday that he’s supporting Donald Trump, one of its biggest critics.

The former defense secretary in the George W. Bush administration said he’s never met Trump, but he’s certainly preferable to Hillary clinton.

“I don’t even find it a hard decision,” he said.

Rumsfeld pooh-poohed the candidate’s accusations that the Bush administration lied to get the country into war.

“I’m 83 years old, I’ve been through a lot of elections, and I’ve never found anyone that I’ve agreed with 100 percent of the time,” Rumsfeld said....

I can completely see Donald Rumsfeld endorsing Trump. Both are solid, down-to-earth men.

We saw Rumsfeld in person once. As introduction, the narrator read off what was basically Mr. Rumsfeld’s career history, which included a lot of positions. After that, when Rumsfeld stepped up to the podium, he shook his head and said, “Wow! You make it sound like I can’t keep a job!”

You would think so, wouldn’t you? But, there WILL BE the idiots who vote Hillary because they think Trump just doesn’t have enough conservative principles. So we’ll get another FOUR YEARS OF HELL. And IF the election is rigged, as I suspect it will be, it won’t matter WHO you vote for. Hillary will win by a landslide. I sure hope I’m wrong.

What we are seeing in this statement from Rumsfeld is putting into practice his wise words while SecDef, i.e., "you go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you wish you had".(or the candidate)

It's good advice that should be universally adopted by all of the weak sisters and #notsureabouttrumpers still lurking around.

This one (election) is for all the marbles, if we lose this election to Hiliarly and the 'RATS, our Republic is over.

Anyone out there still engaging in cheap potshots and sowing dissension in the ranks (and they all know who they are) need to either head to the rear with the gear, or just get the Hell out.

Same here. What kind of madness would cause someone to sit it out and hand the Supreme Court, the lower federal courts, and federal administrative agencies to Hillary? You almost have to want to live in a police state to countenance a Hillary win.
