Allen West explains why he 'can't thank' FBI 'enough' for not recommending charges against Clinton
Business Insider via AOL ^ | July 6, 2016 | Oliver Darcy

Former Florida Congressman Allen West wrote in a blog post Wednesday that he was "delighted" the FBI will not recommend charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email system as secretary of state.

"I can't thank Director [James] Comey enough for coming to this decision," West wrote.

The conservative firebrand said he "always" had "concern" President Barack Obama would "release the hounds" on Clinton in an effort to replace her as the presumptive Democratic nominee with Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden, West contended, would have been far more difficult for Donald Trump to defeat in November.

"That would be a really tough ticket to beat, since Joe Biden's favorables, regardless of gaffes and such, are extremely high," West wrote.

West wrote that Comey had instead opted to leave Clinton in the race as a significantly damaged candidate — a "gift wrapped with a bow" to Republicans.

I don’t agree with that. I think whoever the Dem candidate is, the media will give them a helping hand. Whoever the republican candidate is, the media will say they are racist and all sorts of ‘phobe’. I’m beginning to wonder if American has reached ‘California Uniparty Status’. It’s a rare event when a republican wins any office in this state, especially up north.

Will America ever get another republican president in my lifetime? I really have to wonder. The propaganda is so predictable, as is stupidity of most voters. If any republican can break this logjam, it would be The Donald.
It’s moments like this when I say it’s time to secede.
Texas may be the first to go. They are after all, the Lone Star State.

West is absolutely right about Comey’s statement keeping Hillary in the race in lieu of Bidden replacing her in the event she was indicted.

Zippy likes playing with his food. Affaire de PIAPS will be her ultimate undoing. Look at what Ryan is doing - taking away her (and Huma’s) security clearance.

The propaganda is so predictable, as is the stupidity of most female voters. Who are the ones who gave us Obama twice. Without the white female vote Obama would NEVER have been elected. Every American woman I overhear talking politics hates Donald Trump. No. The real stupidity resides with whomever is trying to run two white males against the democratic female nominee. Unless Trump picks a female for VP he will lose the election. Oh God! Get rid of Gingrich the philanderer as the presumptive VP nominee (who publicly and scathingly jettisoned his first wife big time with a divorce and a new "trophy wife" while still in office or shortly thereafter). Newt has huge negatives. Women will never forgive him. Paul Manafort listen up, you damned neophyte.

I don’t know...it didn’t really help the dem party a few years ago when the GOP swept up the mid-terms in a landslide. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is another groundswell just waiting to burst open regardless of what the dem party or the media pull.

I’m disappointed. This is typical Republican small-ball “wait’ll next year” garbage.

Disagree. An indictment of Hillary would have been a diaster for the Dems. If the Dem Establishment had tried to replace Hillary with Biden, the Dem party would have descended into chaos. The Bernie spporters would go nuts. Bernie went thru the primary process. He would claim, rightfully, that he is next in line for the nomination.

I’m not sure Ryan and congress have the authority to revoke anyone’s security clearances.

Bill Clinton overhauled the system and security clearances are now the exclusive domain of the president.

Manafort is hardly a *neophyte*! He’s been running campaigns and delegate wrangling for decades.

And meet an American woman who loves Trump.

These observations and logic count for nothing to an American population where FAR too many don’t even know the country from which their independence was won or when.

‘Get rid of Gingrich the philanderer as the presumptive VP nominee’

I happen to think that it may be time to make philanders a protected class, after all not to long ago we had a world class philander as President. If I was married to Hitlery I would do some philandering myself. I still think Huma is ugly. One more thing, women loved Clinton even though he was a world class skirt chaser. Trump may have done a little too, you never know it might gain him the slut vote.

Obama received and sent emails to an obviously non governmental server, he himself violated the security act.

This is the real reason Clinton never worried , Obama would be called to testify why he didn’t end her violation.

“An indictment of Hillary would have been a diaster for the Dems.”

yeah, but the FBI doesn’t indict, the DoJ does or at least convenes a grand jury. All the FBI can do is recommend an indictment, and then the DoJ sits on it forever with “we’re reviewing the case”, meanwhile eveyone in the the FedGov claiming no further information can be given out because the case is being “actively reviewed”.

Comey got out in front of Lynch and short-circuited the cover up. He had only one shot at saying his peace, and then he would have had to shut up; now he has the opportunity to go before Congress and divulge even more information “under questioning”, something that wouldn’t have been possible if the whole thing had been handed over to Lynch “for further review”.

I think if the woman were anyone other than Hillary, you might be correct, but she is so totally corrupt and unlikable to anyone but the most dedicated Democrats. Blacks would have walked over hot coals to vote for Obama, but women will not do the same for Hillary. This is an anecdotal example from a very patriotic military town, but I overheard a group of women talking outside my office door today as they were waiting to go into their next class. Their opinion of Hillary cannot be repeated on this board or my post would get deleted. These women (mostly young adults, but a couple were older) may not vote for Trump, but they certainly are not going to vote for Hillary - and Trump has not even begun what will be a devastating ad campaign against her.

I think you are absolutely right.

When it comes to election time the Dems will band together like a flock of geese and all hail their candidate.

Bernie will surprise everyone with his own nod to Hillary.

It’s the Dems way.

Don’t kid yourselves, this is going to be tough to pull off for the GOP.
