All of the fugitives featured on the Texas Most Wanted list are categorized as “White,” but based on names, mugshots and gang affiliations, anyone can clearly see that all but one are actually Hispanic.
The Bureau of Justice does not use the same criteria to categorize perpetrators as they do victims, when listing race and ethnicity.
Perpetrators are listed in four racial categories: black, white, Asian and Native American. Hispanics are thrown into the “white” category.

Hispanic is not a race, and most hispanics are, in fact, white.
This is done deliberately to increase the white crime rate, and make it less obvious that blacks and Hispanics account for the majority of those engaging in criminal activity.
Hispanics are counted as victims of hate crimes, but are not counted among perpetrators where they are counted as white. So, a “hate crime” committed by a Hispanic against a black will be counted as a white on black “hate crime”.
Call them Mestizo. Hispanics are those from Spain.
A creative way to further the narrative that black/brown good; white bad.

Perhaps a nationality-of-origin would be more helpful than “race.”
All of those pictured look Hispanic to me.

Unless something has changed from 10th grade biology, there are only 3 “race.” I have never understood how any religion became a “race”........

Hispanic isn’t a race. They can be white, black or indigenous.
Hispanic isn’t a language. A Portugese-speaking Brazilian counts as Hispanic.
Hispanic isn’t a culture. A desert indian from northern Mexico, a jungle indian from Yucatan, an black islander from Cuba, and a Caucasian from Mexico City are all considered Hispanic.
But calling them all white is just another attempt to skew the statistics.
That may be true of Hispanics from Spain. Most Hispanics on the most wanted list have Indian ancestry.

No, they are not. Mexicans are mixture of Hispanic and Indian.

Certainly sounds like there is need for another category and some Hispanics are almost black in color.
I was thinking more like “North & South America”
Maybe all of them self identify as white?
The deep irony here is how much this flaw in classification hurts blacks. Without a Mestizo/Latino breakout, blacks become an outlier with some unfortunate statistical truths. Mestizo/Latino would top a couple of categories blacks currently lead.
