As dawn broke in Istanbul on Saturday, Turkey's largest city, it was still unclear whether an attempt by the military to wrest control from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had been successful.
A defiant Erdogan addressed crowds in the city, telling them that the coup had been quashed. "The government is in control," he told supporters.

I also recently read articles saying the coup was successful.
Very dad if true. White House wins again. The world loses.
Until next time!
Ain’t gonna be a next time. Expect a Stalin-like purge of the military.

Had those Istanbul Blues

Sad day for Turkey.

Now the executions begin.
I’ve seen better coup’s at my local Cadillac dealer.
That’s too bad, hopefully they have better luck next time.
‘92 LA riots made that look like a day at Disneyland, on Gay day.
“Now the executions begin.”
Do the Turks, hang, use firing squad or behead?
*S*...I like it!
Perhaps they do all three, to those they deem entitled.
