Bold: Fox News Anchor Asks Obama If New Polling Is an 'Indictment' of His Presidency

resident Obama didn’t seem prepared for the tough questions directed at him by Fox News’ Kevin Corke during his joint press conference with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto at the White House on Friday.

Corke, while acknowledging that Obama’s approval ratings were above water, then provided the president with some unflattering polling that reveals over 70 percent of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track.

Is that number an “indictment” of his presidency? Corke wondered.

Obama, clearly annoyed, responded by noting these statistics are nothing out of the ordinary.

“Over the last 20 to 30 years you’re going to be hard pressed to find a time when Americans thought we were on the right track,” he said. “It’s not that unusual.”

Corke also asked Obama whether he had watched any of the Republican National Convention coverage, where he said speakers were clearly "appealing to middle class voters."

Obama again pushed back at Corke’s narrative, arguing the journalist was “editorializing” in his questioning, suggesting Republicans are the ones who appeal more to this demographic.

Obama said he didn’t watch the RNC, but read some of the remarks and said he was dismayed by the Republicans' doom and gloom messaging.

This “vision of violence and chaos everywhere doesn’t jibe with the experience of most people,” he insisted.

A president, he said, should not base his or her policy decisions on “fears that have no basis in fact.”

This presser was taking place just as we started to get news about the deadly shooting in Munich.

Very courageous of Kevin Corke to broach the subject.

I hope his taxes are in good order. Just saying. We know that the IRS, and other government agencies, are used as a tool of retribution by this administration.

I had to laugh a bit, when Hillary recently said, that if Trump were elected, that he would use the IRS to punish political enemies. Laughable because she knows all about that sort of thing.

Whatever the liberals accuse conservatives of doing or possibly doing, you can rest assured that the liberals speak from their own experience.

I guess the lib MSM was right, saying it was a dark speech from Trump. It was about dark times under a dark president. The rest of it was about bright times under a bright leader like President Trump.

Yep, I was happy to hear Dr. Carson note that Hillary is a disciple of Saul Alinsky.

After being a prominent political figure for a quarter century, I have yet to hear anyone in the mainstream media discuss Hillary’s connections to Saul Alinsky, and radicalism in general.

re: “Trump, get your ads going.”

I am sure the lose with dignity wing of the Republican party would be horrified with any such ads.
I just hope to God, Trump resists them and their “help” in his campaign.

“This “vision of violence and chaos everywhere doesn’t jibe with the experience of most people,” he insisted.”

Maybe he should have thought of that before hyping every shooting incident as a systemic problem that could only be cured with totalitarian gun control and suffocating political correctness during his entire residency.

Alinsky says to accuse your opponent of the things you do.

Makes sense.... who would know better about the subject matter than the individual making the accusations. I have a business 'opponent' (if I can call him that) who practices this to the extreme and has for years.... you got me wondering now if he has ever read Alinsky.

Thoughtomator,

Your logic is spot on. Now this is a good comeback to this new narrative Obama is mimicking from whoever thought it up.

But, thanks to those on this thread, and Dr. Ben Carson, for reminding us of fundamentals vs. a vs. Alinsky’s method, the fact is:

No comeback, no argument, no fact will stick on them. Teflon all the way. Like Hillary daring to say, “Trump will set the IRS after his opponents (as the Democrats have obviously done to him), they are TRAINED in universities and via communist operatives how to slide out of anything. ON PRINCIPLE, they lie.

Now, sorry for shouting, but I was yelling at myself to stop trying to reason with these trained agents of nihilism and dictatorship. Their only goal is to be rich and the last man standing. Which is right out of Atlas Shrugged! Ayn Rand grew up during the Communist revolution, then went to university side by side with these radicals.. Read her semi-biographical novel, We the Living, for a portrait of Sister Sonja. I read these books decades ago, but they are coming true right before our eyes! Dark times ahead.!
