An online petition to remove all air conditioning from Department of State property has gotten more than 1,800 signatures since it was posted online Sunday.
A Change.org user named Hopalong Ginsberg created the petition in response to remarks made by Secretary of State John Kerry claiming air conditioning and refrigerants are as much of a threat to the world as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The petition garnered 1,869 signatures by Monday afternoon.
The petition states:
WHEREAS, Secretary of State John F. Kerry has suggested that air conditioners are as big a threat as ISIS, and WHEREAS, it is the duty of our elected and appointed government officials to lead by example, THEREFORE, we call upon the U.S. Department of State to remove air conditioning from all property that the Department owns, rents, or otherwise employs, including but not limited to embassies, consulates, office buildings, etc., all vehicles owned and/or operated by the Department, and any other property, real or movable, owned, rented, or otherwise employed by the Department.

Where can we sign this petition? I think FR alone can get that over 5000
Up to 5193 signatures now!
The peons don’t get it. The elite need air conditioning so they can properly do the work of governing the people. It’s the peons who don’t need air conditioning.
Petition: Remove air conditioning from all US State Department property.
And not to be outdone, oblahblah should order the A/C removed from the white house and air force one. The congress should be next, like the old days, the worst thing that ever happened to the Capitol Building and the house and senate buildings was installing A/C...when it is hot and unbearable, they would all leave and go back their states, where they would actually stop legislating for months, as it should be, they do LESS damage that way.

She: Based on my experience it is cowboys followed by Jewish men.
He: I see, so why is a woman of your obvious class taking the train across the country?
She:There are only three states where I have not made love and we are passing through them over the next 4 days. But enough about me, I don't even know your name!
He: Hopalong Ginsberg Ma'am, at your service!

Comrades!' he cried. 'You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (this has been proved by Science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. We pigs are brainworkers. The whole management and organisation of this farm depend on us. Day and night we are watching over your welfare. It is for your sake that we drink the milk and eat those apples.

Good idea!...I’ll never work for the State Department. They can sit in their cubicles, sweat and stink up the place.
DC used to be considered a hardship assignment. This was not necessarily a bad thing.
I miss him and his humor as well.
I miss Lewis Grizzard.
Thanks, and again, I’m very flattered.
Did they includes Kerry’s house(s) in that? I didn’t see his name mentioned. It was his idea.
That’s where I got it from. Lewis RIP.
It’s in the petition.
Moronic waste of time.
