The name Jill Kelley - sounds like the all-American girl next door. But she's not.
She is a Lebanese woman with strong ties to the Middle East. She had free access to CENTCOM - something you or I probably don't have or are likely to have. She entertained all the CENTCOM bigwigs and had social events for them. She had the first 'meet and greet' for General and Mrs. Petraeus. She also was known to 'warm up' to them under the dinner table and have lengthy email correspondence with them.
Why was a Lebanese woman with strong ties to the Middle East having such intimate relationships with those heading up CENTCOM? Why would a general be sending and receiving 20,000 emails with this woman?
Allen was cleared in 01/22/2013 of mis-conduct in that investigation. (It doesn’t mean he didn’t send all those e-mails.)
Allen was supposed to be nominated as Supreme Allied Commander - Europe. (probably a 5th star ?) that nomination was put on hold because of the investigation. After being cleared, he was still going to be nominated.
He suddenly (28 days later) retire to take care of his wife.
