NIH Plans To Lift Ban On Research Funds For Part-Human, Part-Animal Embryos
NPR ^ | 4 August 2016 | Rob Stein

The federal government announced plans Thursday to lift a moratorium on funding of certain controversial experiments that use human stem cells to create animal embryos that are partly human.

The National Institutes of Health is proposing a new policy to permit scientists to get federal money to make embryos, known as chimeras, under certain carefully monitored conditions.

The NIH imposed a moratorium on funding these experiments in September because they could raise ethical concerns.

One issue is that scientists might inadvertently create animals that have partly human brains, endowing them with some semblance of human consciousness or human thinking abilities. Another is that they could develop into animals with human sperm and eggs and breed, producing human embryos or fetuses inside animals or hybrid creatures.

Government and “scientists” have it under control—what could possibly go wrong? Time to laugh or cry—either is good.

I had a Sun Conure that was smarter than me or my wife.

She trained me to give her treats when ever she lifted one foot to “wave”, etc.

“...extra layer of review by a new, special committee of government officials.”

Well, I feel a lot better about it now.

I don’t want my tax dollars being spent this way.

I don’t think we have any say in how our tax money is spent. That would require representation in Washington, something we peons are not entitled to.

Thank you for referencing that article amorphous. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

The major constitutional problem with federal funding for the referenced research project is this. The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to tax and spend for such a purpose.

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump / Pence by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional inteference in state affairs.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

The phrase “slippery slope” comes to mind.

Is a creature with 50% human DNA a person with full human rights? 90%? 99%?

I don’t think God is pleased. A major flood will probably be the least of our problems.

Lemme fix that headline for ya:

It should read “NIH plans to bring the wrath of God upon America”

There. All fixed.

This, in combo with homo “marriage” and abortion should really be pleasing to our Lord /s
