She’s perfectly welcome to try this argument on a judge in court. Other gangsters have.

.we care if they broke the law.

It's called 18 US Code Sec 208 and reads, in part:

whoever, being an officer or employee of the executive branch of the United States Government, or of any independent agency of the United States, a Federal Reserve bank director, officer, or employee, or an officer or employee of the District of Columbia, including a special Government employee, participates personally and substantially as a Government officer or employee, through decision, approval, disapproval, recommendation, the rendering of advice, investigation, or otherwise, in a judicial or other proceeding, application, request for a ruling or other determination, contract, claim, controversy, charge, accusation, arrest, or other particular matter in which, to his knowledge, he, his spouse, minor child, general partner, organization in which he is serving as officer, director, trustee, general partner or employee, or any person or organization with whom he is negotiating or has any arrangement concerning prospective employment, has a financial interest— Shall be subject to the penalties set forth in section 216 of this title

“A State Department spokesperson clarified Thursday that Hillary Clinton’s 2009 ethics pledge—to avoid
conflicts of interest with the Clinton Foundation—did not extend to Clinton’s top aides at the Department.”

Brilliant! It was just FINE for Hillary’s top State Dept. employees to act as go-between between Hillary and
the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, because, you know, it WAS OK for them to have conflicts of interests
between their employer, the U.S. State Department, and the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, so Hillary just
had to give THEM orders to “take care of business” so she could pretend like she was avoiding any of those
pesky “conflicts of interests”!

And pledges are only operable weekdays, 9-5. They don’t count after that or on weekends. Everybody knows this.

I worked in a Pentagon agency, and we had this one Marine IT guy. He had a fair amount of competency in training people....that was his one enormous skill which the Marines had taught him. He had eighteen years in, and suddenly found that several companies in the DC area were begging for five-star trainers. They approached him and wanted to hire him strictly for weekends...at a fairly decent amount of pay. For two weekends of work a month....he’d make about the same amount as his entire paycheck for a month as a Marine.

The thing is....you have to ask permission of the commander to get this accepted. There were tons of questions and firm rules put upon this guy. This took several weeks to get this ironed out....for him to work every-other weekend at this training center. They read the ethics code to him....ten times over.

With Hillary’s aides....I don’t see a single indication that anyone cared or was willing to enforce federal guidelines upon them. They were double-dipping without any oversight.

What an obscenity, of course her “ethics pledge” must apply to her aides. She intentionally obliterated any lines between Clinton Foundation business and the public’s business by utilizing her aides to criss-cross back and forth between the State Dept. and the Clinton Foundation. There is much unethical, unprofessional behavior just in the few samples we have seen thus far. Probably much criminal behavior, too.

he problem is that the State Dept is speaking with a forked Hillaryspeak tongue. They might as well say, “Cheryl Mills did not have sexual relations with that foundation, the Clinton Foundation.”

The new line out of Hillaryland is that Mills efforts on behalf on donors to the Clinton Foundation were done on her own time as a form of volunteer work as a charitable contribution.

Actually, I sorta admire their ability and chutzpah to dream up and spin this garbage. Nobody but the Clinton machine could—or would—do it. And they are so practiced at it that they can do it well with a straight face.
