Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump praised longtime conservative champion Phyllis Schlafly at the Values Voter Summit in Washington on Friday and at her funeral in St. Louis the following day. In a statement released on Monday, the day Schlafly passed away, Trump said: “Phyllis Schlafly is a conservative icon who led millions to action, reshaped the conservative movement, and fearlessly battled globalism and ‘kingmakers’ on behalf of America’s workers and families. I was honored to spend time with her during this campaign as she waged one more great battle for national sovereignty.”
Schlafly established herself as one of the greatest icons of the conservative movement in 1964, with her self-published book, A Choice Not an Echo. The book, which sold about three and a half million copies, is widely credited as a decisive reason in winning the Republican nomination that year for Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona. She went on to write many more books, columns, and newsletters.
Ironically, her final book, The Conservative Case for Trump, was released the day after her death.

Let’s just say Schafly was a conservative icon that in the later years was not given the respect due her. She was a true patriot and a fighter for the cause of conservatism. The RINO crowd dissed her . . .so that may give you an indication of how great she was.
Why “Stop ERA”? Phyllis Schlafly traveled across the U.S. throughout the 1970s calling for opposition to the ERA because it would lead to:
Homosexual marriages
Women in combat
Taxpayer-funded abortions
Unisex bathrooms
Elimination of Social Security benefits for widows...

After my pops died when I was 14, mom was in late 40s and went back to school for nursing. 18 credits a semester. Failed test the first time. Cried. Then took it again and passed. Worked 7 to 3pm so she could be home. I was out with friends anyway till 9ish, but she wanted to be there.
Cashed food stamps in middle of the night because she was embarrassed.
That’s a feminist. And a conservative. They tried to force her out of one place because she wouldn’t help in any way with abortions.

If I recall she was on Focus On the Family quite a bit. (Or her program came on near the same time in my area)
Read her book “A Choice Not an Echo.” the book was published at the same time that Ronald Reagan was thinking about running for governor in California. Phyllis Schafly can be considered to be the founder of the modern conservative movement.

I once wrote Phyllis in the 90s about some school foolishness that was in effect propaganda that had filtered down to our school system from NEA types. I received a hand written reply from PS!
She was a clear, deep thinker and an inspiration!
