The debate Monday evening has to start addressing what has happened the last two weekends in America: terror attacks. The latest one came in Burlington, Washington where four American women and one man lost their lives.

As we reported yesterday, 20-year-old Arcan Cetin, a Turkish national who and immigrated to the U.S., shot four women and one man at the Cascade Mall in Burlington Friday evening. He was not unknown to police as he had previously been arrested for assault and faced three domestic violence charges against his stepfather which were later dropped. He was also arrested for drunken driving and court records show Cetin was told by a judge on Dec. 29 that he was not allowed to possess a firearm.

Normally, his headlines pull me in and I'm disappointed. This time, I'm hoping he's right.

Trump just needs to avoid a big mistake. Hilary’s record is terrible. She brings up Russia, he says she was okay selling them 20% of our uranium after, of course, a donation to the foundation.

He gets a few soundbites and no screw ups = win.

She’s the one with the pressure on. Momentum is against her. Her voice is terrible. More you hear her she’s like the nightmare ex wife. Trump should let her talk.

Why pulling over for DUI who is here on a VISA or other non-citizen residency process isn’t automatic grounds for deportation (especially with the assault history) is beyond me...

I am not sure if the moderator will allow this question to be raised. Anyway, Hildebeast has already won before it has started, barring another medical episode. That is how MSM will report it. Google and Facebook will spread it all over the world.

“Trump should let her talk.”

Good advice - let her sink herself.

The press is playing the expectation game in her favor, and they are shocked when Kellyanne Conway says Trump feels confident and expects to do well. This is totally against the press template for setting expectations.

Another point the press is hammering all weekend is what a liar Trump is. If he doesn't "lie," he beats them at this game.

One consistent point the press and Camp Crooked have been playing is the woman card. That's all she has, when everything is said and done, and it shows in the polls, women vote for Crooked, men vote for Trump.

The media have already written their stories. This debate is to be Hillary’s comeback moment.

Hillary will be said to have shown a mastery of government and foreign policy, understanding terrorism, nuances of healthcare laws such as Obamacare, and will have shown why she should be president.

There will need to be some blanks in the template to fill in, based on what each candidate says. But the basic template is already written. Hillary will be said to have shown a grasp of the issues facing our country, and Trump will be said to be dangerously ignorant of the problems the next president will face.

The members of the media who populate the New York/Washington axis have already decided who won the debate.

I was glad to read this. I had wondered why Allen West had not endorsed Trump. It’s good to know he’s completely on board with President Trump.

Trump doesn’t need to pull a rabbit out of his hat tonight.

He’s taken out 16 competitors and won the R nomination by following “his own good brain”. Why not just relax and let him do his thing instead of worrying and second-guessing before the fact?

I support candidates because I trust their judgement to make the best decision under difficult and unclear circumstances, not because they are have the best ability to regurgitate facts and arguments memorized in advance.

ALRIGHT!

Jesus, you guys have been posting that in every thread, all damn morning!

It isnt insightful, edgy, or even all that accurate.

But I guess we need to act like losers in advance for some reason, right?

Hillary keeps harping on Russia and Trump's alleged "coziness w/ Putin."

Too bad they can't put up a pic showing Bill Clinton having a laugh w/ Putin when Hillary as Secy of State. Back then, she was okay selling them 20% of our uranium after mining moguls gave massive donations to the foundation.

PIC Circa 2010--Ex-Pres Clinton in Moscow having a laugh w/ Putin
as strategic US uranium deposits were sold off to Russia for Big Bucks
facilitated by Secy Clinton, as Bill globe-trotted to set up the deal.

"Hahahaha. US ntl security? Hahahaha. You gotta be kidding, Vlad."

===============================================

This gambit by Bill Clinton (meddling in a foreign election) got the uranium scheme going. Bill's calculated handshake was a bonanza for the Kazahk president's re-election. Nazarbayev responded in kind and signed-off on the initial phase of the US uranium assets takeover.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev greets former
president Clinton (L) in Almaty on September 6, 2005.

CIRCA 2015 A Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter claims that former President Bill Clinton falsely denied hosting a meeting with Kazakh officials when she tried to write a story that involved his foundation several years ago.

Jo Becker, who works on the newspaper's investigative desk, said Clinton only confirmed the meeting took place after she informed him there were photographs.

Clinton's role in a deal that involved Kazakhstan, the Russian government, and a man who donated millions to the president's charitable foundation were detailed in a story Becker published on Thursday.

That article revisited some of her earlier reporting and included information from the upcoming book "Clinton Cash," which is generating widespread headlines amid a flurry of reports suggesting it will raise serious questions about Clinton's family foundation.

The donor in question is Canadian mining executive Frank Giustra, a longtime friend of the former president who has given tens of millions to the Clinton Foundation in the past few years. (A couple of hours after the NYT story was published, Giustra issued a defiant statement. We've included that below.)

Becker initially wrote about the February 2007 meeting between Clinton, Giustra, and executives from the state-owned nuclear company Kazatomprom in 2008. The gathering took place at Clinton's home in Chappaqua, New York.

"When I first contacted both the Clinton foundation — Mr. Clinton's spokesman — and Mr. Giustra, they denied any such meeting ever took place," Becker recalled in footage aired by Fox News on Thursday.

However, Becker said Clinton and Giustra both changed their stories after she confronted them with evidence to the contrary.

"And then when we told them, 'Well we already talked to the head of Kazatomprom, who not only told us all about the meeting, but actually has a picture of him and Bill at the home in Chappaqua, and that he proudly displayed on his office wall.' They then acknowledged that yes, the meeting had taken place," Becker continued in the television interview.

The purpose of the meeting, then Kazatomprom President Moukhtar Dzhakishev told The Times, was to discuss Kazakhstan potentially buying a 10% stake in Westinghouse, a US nuclear company. Becker's 2008 story also noted one of Giustra's companies secured a deal to buy uranium deposits from Kazatomprom in 2005.

That agreement was made after Clinton accompanied Giustra on a trip to Kazakhstan. During the trip, Giustra and Clinton met with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Clinton issued a public statement praising the Kazakh leader despite his questionable, antidemocratic record. The Times called the praise a "propaganda coup" for Nazarbayev. (he later "won relection" w/ an unbelievable 90% of the vote)

"Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton's charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustra’s more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clinton’s inner circle," wrote Becker and another reporter, Don Van Natta.

A spokesperson for the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership told Business Insider they are "working on a formal statement" in response to a request for comment on Thursday. Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership is an initiative of the Clinton Foundation that was cofounded by Clinton and Giustra in 2007. A Clinton Foundation spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Assuming Hillary doesn’t die - literally - on stage, the press will praise her victory. But people will make up their own minds. Rush said he learned from his television show that people remember the optics, not the statements. They remember their feelings, not positions.

Trump is vastly more charismatic than Hillary. He doesn’t have her bitter face or bitter voice.

My guess is Trump will be blasted by the media, but people will prefer him two to one.
