She knows she's just saying what polls find Americans want to hear.
In a 2015 email to campaign manager Robby Mook, speech writer Dan Schwerin revealed Hillary wasn't happy with her staff performance.
"HRC just called me and expressed a fair amount of frustration with how things are going," Schwerin wrote in June.
"She said we've given a series of very good policy speeches and in between we just keep giving her poll-tested lines that don't work, like make the middle class mean something," he told Mook.

Of course the media is more worried about whether Trump will accept the election results, while Hillary has no real interest in the economy and has to use poll-tested lines because she doesn't really understand what happens in an economy.
Middle-out is just another liberal Utopia. Economist may be able to observe middle-out growth in an economy after it happens, but to say you can grow an economy from the middle-out is experimental and never been proven. The middle class first need jobs to be middle class.
Invest in the middle class!! Why didn’t we think of that??
“Invest” means “Spend” in Governmentese.
So basically Hillary doesn’t believe her own speeches, but is too dumb or lazy to come up with anything better on her own.

I noticed the other day that Mook has VOCAL FRY—which has been, in the past, almost exclusively a female phenomenon. I’ve heard a few other Pajama Boys with it.

This is completely wrong. That is what small business does. Suppress small business [tax, bad economy, over-regulation, export of real jobs, unaffordable health care mandates] and you kill the middle class.
You can’t predict economic growth just because tax code is more favorable to people in middle income situations. As is now happening, the middle class just keeps getting smaller as mush as they try to ‘help’. The best thing for a small business is a big business order.
