LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Little Rock Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of East 8th Street.
Chief Kenton Buckner says officers responded to calls of a disturbance in the area. As officers were in route, the call was updated to a disturbance involving a man with a weapon.
The police report states responding officers arrived to find a man pointing a long gun at his uncle.
Buckner tells KATV officers engaged with the man and shots were fired outside the home. The man was killed.
The man has been identified as 46-year-old Roy Lee Richards.
The officers involved were placed on administrative leave.

Lots of 911 tapes exonerating LRPD (who saved the life of a black man from his drunk, violent, armed nephew). Unfortunately, Uncle calls cops and says, "Hes drunk, I don't want him hurt, I want him off my yard".
Nephew escalates it when he produces a "long arm", aims it at uncle, and cop fires IOT save uncle.
Rifle description is STILL not being released.
He pointed the gun at someone. That would probably pass as being a violent threat. Perhaps killing him so he wouldn’t kill his uncle was justified? Or, maybe it would have been better for him to kill the policemen who showed up and THEN kill his uncle and walk away. Ask the uncle. That’s who I would start with, BLM thuggie boys.
BLM at this time would harm Hillary. This story does NOT have legs at this time. Hell, it don’t even have ankles.
BLM labors under the same set of beliefs that has “progressives” caring more about wrongdoers than wrongdoing. Toss in a racists ideology and Muslim manipulations and the movement’s purpose isn’t protecting black lives (if it was they’d go all midieval on the gangs, who are truly the folks out to harm and terrorize innocent blacks) but trouble making.
Cute cop, good for him. I’d say to him hey man come up here to Rogers/Bentonville. The population is booming, we’re sane and you’ve earned it!

About two or three weeks ago, I was thumbing through my local paper (Seattle Times) and found an article on page B3, below the fold, with a caption something like this: “Federal Way police [Seattle suburb] kill knife-wielding man.” I immediately knew the man was white, because if he’d been black, the story would have been on the front page, above the fold, and would be dominating the news cycle.
That 911 operator sounds like a bored don’t-give-a-darn, poor speaking, bad attitude you are interfering with my day type.
The first 911 operator, that is.
If he does, you can’t go speeding back and forth looking to get arrested.
Beginning prayer for that man and his family. Think they’re gonna need it. Prayers for all little rock now too.
