Trump won because college-educated Americans are out of touch
Washington Post ^ | November 9, 2016 | Charles Camosy

As the reality of President-elect Donald Trump settled in very early Wednesday morning, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes summed up an explanation common to many on the left: The Republican nominee pulled ahead thanks to old-fashioned American racism.

But the attempt to make Trump’s victory about racism appears to be at odds with what actually happened on Election Day. Consider the following facts.

Twenty-nine percent of Latinos voted for Trump, per exit polls. Remarkably, despite the near-ubiquitous narrative that Trump would have deep problems with this demographic given his comments and position on immigration, this was a higher percentage of those who voted for GOP nominee Mitt Romney in 2012. Meanwhile, African Americans did not turn out to vote against Trump. In fact, Trump received a higher percentage of African American votes than Romney did.

Trump more than held his own among voter with some college and BA degrees. Hillary killed Trump among voters with post-BA degrees. I thought going to college in the late 80s was weird enough with speech codes and PC starting to gain some steam. Compared to today that time was a utopia of relative freedom.

Trump won because their is a huge amount of people making political decisions in America contrary to America’s interests.

In BOTH PARTIES.

Everyone is for sale, and supporting the monstrous globalist mess. Everyone.

American voters, said enough.

Nothing to do with college....the demographic was the WORKING middle class and I’d say 35 and up. In other words....the ones who are paying the bills for the leeches.

College educated morons allowed their pea-sized brains to be filled with satanic mush. They turned their collective backs on God and never learned what America stands for. TRUTH is a foreign concept at our colleges and universities.

Actually I think many college educated people also voted for Trump.

Trump won, because people finally got really tired of the Dem empty promises and lies, while everything was going down the tubes. People finally had enough.

The majority of white males with college degrees voted for Trump. I would bet that if you looked at degrees in hard sciences the difference would be even larger; it is the non-white social justice warriors with soft degrees that cause the large discrepancy in those with college degrees voting for Clinton.

People with at least one graduate degree voted for Trump.

Perhaps the idiots who say and/or write garbage, claiming that it is the uneducated who voted for Trump ( now they raised it to Masters or better degrees, who didn't vote for him ? ) should look at the majors of those who voted for Hillary. Women's, black, Hispanic studies majors aren't just worthless and stupid, but rots the brain and leads on to vote for Dem candidates without being able to "think". LOL

We are now the rhondocollumi.

Idiots and morons all are we.

For those rusty on their Latin (perish the thought):
Rhondo - Latin for red.
Collum - Latin for neck.

If you are educated but you have been decreed to be a redneck just because you voted for Trump, you are a rhondocollum.

Thank you.

The overriding principle for all government should be what is best for the average citizen in an atmosphere of liberty. Not what can be sold to the highest bidder.

They ought to have said “college degreed”, not “college educated”. Whether these voters were properly educated is questionable.
