The Nevertrumpers tried to deligitimize Trumps primary win as well by saying popular vote don’t matter, its about who gather the most delegates. Now they’re arguing the reverse

Agree. It is also worth mentioning that Hillary received 48% of the vote, i.e., more than half of the voters preferred someone else. Trump won the electoral vote, which is how we elect Pesidents. It is called Federalism.

You know what you call a guy who gets fewer votes than the last candidate and only a few more in key states than his opponent?

MR. PRESIDENT

Trump won 30 states to Romney’s 24. The point is to win the Electoral vote, which Trump did handily.

Winning the popular vote in a Presidential Election is akin to winning “Miss Congeniality” in a beauty contest; it’s nice, but in the end, it doesn’t mean very much.

Romney’s election day announced count was similarly low, leading to four year of ridiculous statements claiming that four million (or some other huge number) conservatives ‘stayed home’ compared to 2008.

Even Limbaugh occasionally makes false statements, seems to retract them, and then drags them out again.

Here’s a story from 2012 by the reliable manure-spreaders at Gateway Pundit:

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/11/republican-turnout-in-2012-election-less-than-2008-and-2004/

...Fewer Republicans turned out to vote for Mitt Romney. Mitt won only 57 million votes...

Hill has no positive accomplishments so her topics are corruption, treason, and failure to recognize or tell the truth. She needs to be a good grandma if she can

So Mit went from 57mil initial count to 61mil (final count), which is about 4 million difference

So we could guestimate maybe Trump will end up at 64 million at final count

So we can infer that Hillary’s Preemptive Negative Attacks caused over 7M voters not to show up... maybe babyboomers and the Greatest Gen is dying off and we have not produced enough college educated elitists to replace ourselves, plus the illegals are yet legal for voting.

Trump won DESPITE huge election faud. Votes changed on machines from Trump to Clinton, illegals voting, dead people voting, etcetcetc.

We will never know what the real numbers were. At least he won big enough to overcome the 10% or more of illegal votes/changed votes etc.

I think Trump should focus on hiring conservatives that didn’t publically denounce him. And I voted for her.

This is irrelevant. States stop counting “absentee” ballots once it appears that they would make no difference in the outcome of the election. We’ll never know how many votes either person got. That’s why we have the electoral college. Arizona will still be counting 2016 ballots when the 2020 ballots start rolling in. LOL.

During the campaign, Trump told us that he was going to show us how to win.

In that, he definitely succeeded!

He went right to the people and focused on the Rust Belt, where he converted many Democrat votes to Republican votes. He expanded the base for the Republicans and made it very difficult for the Democrats to take the White House back in 2020.

Now I'm sure that over the next four years, Trump will work on expanding the base further by winning over more Blacks and Hispanics.

The 6-7 million votes went to minor candidates, more than double the number of minor candidate votes of 2012. Not many 2012 voters stayed home and weren’t replaced by new voters.

What???

Invite a snake to your house, after reading the lyrics of the snake?

Do something as racist as offering someone a job, over better qualified applicants just because of the color of their skin?

Do something as sexist as offering someone a job over better qualified applicants just because of their gender?

Arrgghhhhhh!!!! Come on man! You are turning into one of Them!. Banish the thought!

A bunch of lying propagandists quoted in those first paragraphs. Votes continue to roll in large batches for at least 10 days following an election, amounting to millions of votes (hand-counted absentees, military overseas, etc.) amounting to millions of votes.

The people quoted know this and know better. As such, they are propagandizing. Trump will easily surpass Romney’s total from 2012. Hillary will get no where near Obama’s total.

The vote totals for most states are not certified by the state Secretaries of State for up to 30 days in some States, for that very reason, as millions of votes remain yet to count. The delay in certifying the 50 state elections allows for ‘all the votes to be counted’, and also time for contested elections, to do recounts. Recall Bush v. Gore? There was no delay there, just a contested election using the time available for such.

Does Shapiro actually believe that? If so, perhaps he can explain why Trump is soon to be the 45th POTUS and Romney never made it to DC.

Well; Mitt has placed his trust in a heretical version of Christianity; for one.

Did Romney compete against three other candidates for POTUS?

Did Trump compete against SIXTEEN other candidates for POTUS?
