I’d have expected some protests to arise from the DHS for being told to do this, but again it might be all Democrat myrmidons now.

Phalanx is only a piece of the aerial assets on the border. That being said, Phalanx was started because the other assets weren’t able to meet requirements. Coordination of those assets is not optimal, because of rice bowl mentalities and an administration whose goal is to encourage illegal immigration.
