Petraeus by not being in jail is a living example of the lack of equal justice under law in this country.

Can you imagine if a rank-and-file soldier did what he did?

Better than Romney

He's a loser, and also covered for cankles when he was in CIA.

No. He was the architect of the COIN...the “winning hearts and minds” strategy in Iraq/Afghanistan.

No.

Agreed. DJT has got to come up with an honorable trustworthy person, which is not an easy job these days.

Maybe they could resurrect Dan Quayle. He was a very skilled diplomat as VP.

Could Petraeus even get a security clearance anymore?

That's just it!

Trump hasn't put forward any of these skanks! It's just the odorous media smelling up the place.

Agreed.
Trump would look like the biggest hypocrite in the world if he picked Petreus. Spent a year beating up a former SOS for mishandling classified emails, then chooses for his SOS a person convicted of mishandling classified intel??
I hope this is just a rumor.
Mitt isn’t good but he would be the better political choice by far. And if Trump feels like he can trust him, maybe Mitt could be a solid SOS.

I’m afraid I don’t know enough about the man to make any intelligent judgments. Perhaps a hello freeper could enlighten me? I’m not terribly familiar with Petraeus

He’s being considered for SOS? Big mistake. He’s no friend of Israel. He believes our favoritism toward Israel hurts our relationships in the ME. James, “Mad-dog” Mattis has posed similar views. Trump needs to run from both of them.

Ah, Dan Quayle. I remember what the libs did to him years ago. It’s the same thing they do to all real conservatives who they determine are a real threat.

Bork, Quayle, Palin. They’ve been ambushing us for decades. They never stop, they just re-group. Maybe that’s why my late mother used to tell me “The only good Commie is a d-—”, well, you know the rest.

Me too. I'd rather have neither, but I trust Romney's judgement over Petraeus'.
