Giuliani, like his father, developed prostate cancer in his 50s. He is now 72, about the same age his father was when he died from the disease.

Trump: David, thanks for coming in today.

Patraeus: You’re welcome Mr. President-Elect.

Trump: Tell me the details about your pleading guilty to mishandling classified information and the deal you were offered to plead guilty, pay a $100,000.00 fine, and all that.

Patraeus: I was guilty of poor judgment and I paid the price.

Trump: How is what you did different from what Hillary Clinton did?

Patraeus: It is different in scope and magnitude. At least Paula Broadwell had a security clearance and I only gave her a few classified items. Hillary Clinton was completely reckless and her recklessness place people’s lives in jeopardy.

Trump: Tell me about Paula Broadwell.

Patraeus: What would you like to know?

Trump: How about her telephone number?

Patraeus: Mr. President-Elect, I thought I was here to interview for the Secretary of State position in your cabinet.

Trump: Sorry, David, but your conviction makes you legally barred from serving in a position of trust in the Executive Branch of the government unless and until you receive a presidential pardon.

Patraeus: Mr. President-Elect?!

Trump: If you would like to apply for a pardon let Reince Priebus know and I will consider it. It’s been nice talking to you David.

If the choice was between Petraeus and Romney, who do you go for?

Besides, I don’t think Patraeus could pass a background investigation now. At least he shouldn’t.

Bolton is a bellicose neocon.

But yes, I would rather him than Romney. Can’t imagine Trump picking him however.

Agreed—Petraeus ahead of Wilbur. Dana R. IMO is the best of the options mentioned in the press.

“Pat Buchanan for SoS.”

OMG!! Yes!! He deserves it. Thirty-plus years ago he warned us what political correctness would do to America, and he was spot on.

Another Trump head fake. He has likely already made his choice.

Same problem with both Petraeus and Corker. They are too short. I’m not kidding. No intimidation factor. See DJT for example of useful tall, big man factor. Plus, bless his soul, Petraeus isn’t particularly attractive. At least Corker has a nice mane of silvery hair. And yes, visuals do matter. It’s one of the many reasons Trump won and Hitlery didn’t. Who could stand to look at and listen to her for four 4-8 years?

Lol, probably true. Along that line, if you are a foreign SOS, can you imagine Tom Cotton walking in for your meeting? Talk about an “intimidation factor”! That is one serious looking dude.
