Not Britain. We need a special person there.
I want one of our best and brightest on that job.

If Trump picks Mitt, then it has much to do with securing votes for the next presidential election, as in for whatever a Mitt endorsement can bring to the table.

That may be the key behind this. If they’re having dinner with Prebus, it isn’t trolling. No time for games now.
I’m definitely no fan of Romney, but — with his business experience — feel he would do a rather decent job of straightening out the State Department. Better than some of the alternatives.
The foreign policy decisions will be made in the White House by the National Security team.

You’re right. Trump said some very radical stuff during the campaign. The idea of letting that stuff pass and working together reminds me of some NASCAR drivers beating and banging into one another; where the bottom line is, “That’s racin’ boys! Let’s forget it and go do our jobs!”

Plus he is the de facto leader of establishment Republicans. Like them or not, they are part of the party. They are needed inside the tent.

Good old Mitt. Still a world class flip-flopper.
Now that he’s spoken glowingly of President Trump, he can toddle back to his California mansion, or Utah, or whatever hole he normally resides in.

“His reputation really took a hit after his antics during the primary season.”
Reputation? You mean, as a big government, flip-flopping, globalist liberal - because that’s all Romney’s ever been.
His attacks on Trump during the primary only solidified it.

One of the main reasons I was able to convince myself to vote for Trump is because Romney was so dead-set against him. I’m still willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, but chatting up this creep is not helping one bit. Romney is part of the problem. He needs to be on the outside looking in.

Bush served well as a vice prez for 8 yrs.
Finish the story...."and then he was a terrible president and his ineptitude ushered in 8 years of Clinton."
Giving profile to creeps like Romney is NEVER a good thing.

Im afraid that if Mr. T picks Romney for SoS that will show he doesnt have good instincts.
Exactly my feeling. Romney can not be trusted. He's a con-man and a fraud.
