Deputy Carter's pay during his convalescence is about 2/3 of his regular salary. He has a wife and three children, substantial medical bills from his ordeal, and probably some additional surgery ahead of him to remove the remaining shrapnel in his shoulder. Geez...you get shot in the line of duty and only get 2/3 pay?? Does that sound wrong to anyone else. He should have gotten full pay plus all medical expenses. At a minimum.
