An Army veteran who overcame a severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder to become a best-selling author and veterans advocate died over the weekend in El Paso.
Luis Carlos Montalvan, age 43, died late Friday night at a Downtown hotel, officials with the El Paso Police Department said.

Sign #1: Their personality changes.
Sign #2: They seem uncharacteristically angry, anxious, agitated, or moody.
Sign #3: They withdraw or isolate themselves from other people.
Sign #4: They stop taking care of themselves and may engage in risky behavior.
Sign #5: They seem overcome with hopelessness and overwhelmed by their circumstances.
Not to make light of PTSD, but all 5 of those characteristics I have.
Offhand, I don’t know what that means.
If you have all 5 of them you need to seek confidential help and find out if there’s a solution.
