ROANOKE — The final two defendants in a high-profile federal case involving the gang-related killing of a reserve police captain each have been sentenced to more than a decade in prison.
Anthony Darnell Stokes, of Manassas, and Halisi Uhuru, of Danville, were the highest ranking members of the 99 Goon Syndikate, a subset of the Bloods gang that has been implicated in a string of armed robberies around Central Virginia that culminated in the 2014 abduction and murder of Waynesboro reserve police Capt. Kevin Quick.
On the night of Jan. 31, 2014, Quick left his mother’s home in Afton to go the apartment where his daughter lived with her mother. He was abducted at gunpoint from the apartment complex parking lot, driven around to ATMs to withdraw cash and later executed. His body was found days later, in the woods along the boundary of Fluvanna and Goochland counties.
The federal government indicted nine people in the aftermath, each of them in some way connected with the 99 Goon Syndikate. Four of those nine have since been found guilty of Quick’s slaying, and have been sentenced to life in prison.
Uhuru, also known as Gert Wright III, was allegedly the ringleader of the gang, with Stokes serving as his second-in-command. While not charged with Quick’s slaying, the two have been convicted of racketeering and obstruction of justice in the case.
In Roanoke’s federal courthouse Monday, Uhuru told Judge Glen Conrad that he had no part in Quick’s abduction and death, and that he originally had intended the gang to be a force for good in the community.
Uhuru’s attorney challenged the idea that he had ever been the “master puppeteer”

IMHO, this has been almost buried by the MSM.
This was a premeditated execution by gang members of a reserve police captain after abducting him in January, 2014 and forcing him to make withdrawals from ATMs.

DADS are supposed to teach their sons how to deal with adult male authority. It's DOUBLY important for BLACK dads to be around to teach their sons about adult male WHITE authority.

I would love to see Trump put Sheriff David Clarke at the head of a federal unit whose purpose was to dismantle gangs. That would be a very good matching of talent and need, IMHO.
Make membership in a gang where any member of said gang has commit murder, punishable by death.
End a couple hundred thousand gang members, and that might make a difference in the cities.
What would they have to do to get a death penalty? Answer, reverse the races.

This is a film or mini-series that won’t get made unless by a truly independent producer and released to internet and DVD only.
Hard to imagine a student being able to complete High School, or even a general equivalency exam, and not know what a decade is. Sadly, such people can vote.
Put the leaders that aren’t summarily executed in Guantanamo where they won’t infect anyone else. Play It’s a Small Small World 24/7 at 120 db.
I am surprised it was not life without parole or the death penalty.
