I was going to say, it may have not been Mary Joe’s best evening either. And the locals saying “thought they would never leave” .

It's amazing how the Kennedy defenders at the time forgot all about Mary Jo. They didn't give a fig about her. What was important at the time was salvaging Teddy's career and keeping alive "Camelot" at all costs. Mary Jo was expendable. Just a floozy that got in the way.

Many of the Kennedy defenders by the way were women.
