That’s what I hear. Like I said, nobody did some kind of a study before all these turbines were created?

Wind turbines are pushing Texas’s power grid to the limit, despite more than $8 billion invested in green infrastructure, according to a report published Friday in the Technology Review, by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

“Texas is learning just how costly it is to wrangle the wind,” MIT researchers found.

Texas is already spending $8 billion, but the state’s utilities and transmission companies will have to spend hundreds of millions more to upgrade the system enough to transport electricity from wind-rich West Texas to market in East Texas, the report found. Texas’ new wind turbines also place dangerous stress on the power grid, potentially leading to blackouts.

“... if an oil spill kills a single mallard...”

I was on a job where some guy with another firm was careless undoing a hydraulic hose and about 1/2 cup of fluid spilled onto the desert sand.

The federal guy watching us had them lay down the soak mats, dig the soil up, and then shut all of us down for a day and a half while they reviewed safety measures and “training”.

“Trump must kill the wind turbine industry. And order all turbines be removed no exception and the turbine industry must pay for removal.”

You know - hundreds of thousands of 20’ diameter by 100-foot tall steel cylinders laid on its side would make a formidable barrier - like a wall.

Syncrude was ordered to pay 3 million - although that was in Canada.

Doesn’t matter to the left. Whatever it takes for wind and solar; even though the costs are astronomic.

OK so a guy out hunting accidentally kills a condor. Figuring it makes no difference after the fact, he roasts it and eats it.

A park ranger walks up, see the remaining carcass, arrests him and takes him to jail.

At his trial the judge says, “OK it was an accident, $100 fine and time served”.

The judge pulls the guy aside and says, “Well, I gotta ask, what DOES a condor taste like?”

The guy says, “Well, your honor, it’s sort of a cross between an eagle and a spotted owl”.

Obama: Fundamentally-transforming America (for the worse) since 2008 (on a national scale).

This is really sick, and with the right messaging would turn environmentalist bleeding hearts right around on wind energy.

I would love to see the GOP peel off still more Dem votes this way.

Like Obama and/or Hillary’s crimes, the liberals turn away from certain realities to keep their agenda du jour going.

A single blade from a turbine is 100 feet long. The turbines must be several feet apart. There can be miles and miles of land with turbines making fencing them in, impossible in reality. A restructuring/redesign looks feasible. And, expensive. Best to replace current designs with newer more efficient ones, and new fields with new designes.

Harnessing natural power has a way to go, yet.

Studies can show whatever the funder wants.Begin with flawed assumptions on generator efficiency, reliability, and maintenance.Add unlimited government funding. If wind were viable and profitable the utilities would have built them long ago.

Wind powered generators , like solar, are terrific in certain niche situations where conventional power plants are too distant or not economically viable.
