A former constitutional law professor criticized the Electoral College system on Friday, saying that it is a “vestige” of an “earlier vision” of how the U.S. government was going to work.
“The Electoral College is a vestige, it’s a carryover from an earlier vision of how our federal government was going to work that put a lot of premium on states,” President Obama said during an end-of-the-year press conference.

The electoral college proved its worth to me by preventing California from stealing the election with illegal votes.
The electoral college is only outdated when Democrats lose.

Obama knows full well why the regional representation of the Electoral College was put into place. He disagrees with it because it slows the Leftist (pro-Islamist and racist as well) dictatorship he wishes to impose here. He uses his bully pulpit to agitate for popular vote elections, while keeping the borders open and fighting against voter validation through ID and purging of the dead, felons, non-citizens, and the multiply registered from the voting lists.

OBAMA doesn’t understand that the U.S. CONSTITUTION is GOD-inspired.
The Electoral College is a brilliant and thoughtful feature of our government to prevent bullies from forcing their policies on the rest of the country.
Socialist states with large populations (like California and New York) would ensure the demise of our country by making slaves out of the rest of the country to pay for their ever growing entitlements. Such states tend to give illegal aliens the right to vote to ensure that the working class would be forever their slaves. Is that fair?
Thank God we have an Electoral College!
Go ahead and say what you really believe Obama - which is that sovereign states are outdated. They would retain states as local administrators with zero power under complete control of the federal government.
At least that is what they want if THEY are controlling the levers of power. What they have not thought through is what happens if Republicans and conservatives control the federal government and start telling California what to do.
The removal of the Electoral College is the CORE of communist/socialist/marxist/democratic efforts.
At that point, we will be a democracy - Which was the day 1 goal of... Democrats !
When we have this democracy, we will quickly divide into sub-classes of society. We watched how quickly that could happen with the 2016 elections. If we were a democracy we would have seen most of America become the second-class citizen, or slave, to the elites on the coast.
This asshat obviously never took a class in Constitutional Law...
