I think this "she almost won it" meme is a comforting delusion for Clinton dead-enders. Technically, yes, they were close in terms of raw vote totals- because of some tactical missteps by the Trump campaign. This ignores that the same logic could be used in states Clinton narrowly won, Maine, Minn., NH, which could have bolstered Teump's electoral landslide.

She didn't even break 50 percent in Va. , despite having Kaine on the ticket, her bag-man enfranchising 60k felons, and Trump pulling out of the state a month before the election. She was the worst Dem. nominee since Mondale, and, IMO, it's not even a close contest.
