Nothing so epitomizes the politically correct gullibility of our times as the magic word "diversity." The wonders of diversity are proclaimed from the media, extolled in the academy and confirmed in the august chambers of the Supreme Court of the United States. But have you ever seen one speck of hard evidence to support the lofty claims?
Although diversity has become one of the leading buzzwords of our time, it has a history that goes back several generations. In the early twentieth century, the principle of geographic diversity was used to conceal bias against Jews in the admission of students to Harvard and other leading academic institutions.
Because the Jewish population was concentrated in New York and other east coast communities at that time, quota limits on how many Jewish students would be admitted were concealed by saying that Harvard wanted a diverse student body, consisting of students from around the country.
Therefore some highly qualified Jewish applicants could be passed over, in favor of less qualified applicants from the midwest or other regions of the country.
My own first encounter with the idea of geographic diversity occurred more than half a century ago, when I was an undergraduate at Harvard, and worked as a photographer for the university news office, in order to help pay the bills.

It use to be diverse people came from all over the world to be Americans. Now it means nothing than importing people from third world countries to turn it in to a third world nation with divided little groups that all hate each other. That’s the Obama way.

If Trump gets another pick on the SCOTUS after the current open seat, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the affirmative action racket finally ended. There’s no justification whatsoever for keeping Asian enrollment capped at 20% for the sake of “diversity”.
“Fractured” is the way I would describe the West. But that’s just fine with the multicultists, because “diversity” really means “get rid of all the Caucasian males” (the heterosexual ones, anyway) and everybody knows it.

Diversity is the promotion of chaos by the destruction of Good; and then there-naming of chaos as Good.
But there's no evidence whatsoever that it helps a society, and plenty of disturbing proof to the contrary. After all, when was the last time you heard someone say "Divided We Stand?"
All of the above posts are correct in how the word “diversity” is employed in America. But perhaps the most frightening employment of the term is not just diversification of race solely in the name of diversity but rather when it is applied to accepted political thought on our campuses where diversity of thought is not tolerated and adult, debt incurring individuals are intimidated by paternalistic campus staff into repeating back to them their tired liberal dogma. The #1 issue on campuses of my generation was FREE SPEECH and to see that it has been subverted again in the name of political correctness stresses the need to constantly fight for the basic freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.

I never hear the alt-left calling for diversity in the NFL or NBA.
diversity is now just liberal code for destruction of white european christian cultures.
we are the biggest threat to the uniparty and new world order globalists.
they also target white women to shun us so no more white males will be filling the ranks.
i would be for bringing back the same standards white european migrants immigrated under. had to have sponsors with jobs. had to have jobs lined up to prove you could sustain yourself. had to be serious disease free, no tb, not creating health risks for people here.
Diversity is not a strength. It may sometimes be neutral. It most often is disruptive and has a negative effect.
