Outgoing DCCC Executive Director Moves to Obama’s Redistricting Group
Roll Call ^ | 12/28/2016 | Niels Lesniewski

After two election cycles as the executive director of the House Democrats’ campaign arm, Kelly Ward has a new challenge: helping to lead a coordinated Democratic redistricting effort ahead of new map drawings following the 2020 census.

Ward will be the interim executive director of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, a group led by President Barack Obama and former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.

A native of Las Vegas, Ward largely earned her chops in Arizona politics before emerging as a top campaign aide on the national stage, becoming the first person to spend two consecutive elections as the top staffer at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Happy New Year! Now get back to work! The DemocRATs aren't slacking off. They're out to gerrymander themselves back into power. Note how Holder is still in the game here. And yeah they've had their problems in the House. That said, they did gain 6 seats this election.

Gerrymandering their way to success. Add that to their work to remove the EC and they’ll have a permanent majority...or so they think.

“becoming the first person to spend two consecutive elections as the top staffer at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.”

I think this is an awesome idea! I mean, look how successful shes been at gaining a Dem majority in congress over the last eight years.... Perfect fit.

Arizona made the mistake in 2010 by going with a “bipartisan” effort to redistrict. The Democrats screwed them out of a few congressional seats. I hope Arizona isn't that stupid in 2020.

We did in fact lose some seats in the House. And yes there are a number of very positive developments at the state level. That said, know your enemy and their intentions. I’m quite happy with the DemocRATs choice of Nancy Pelosi as minority (not)leader. Now if we can get Keith Ellison to head the DNC that would be good. Not that it’s going to substantially change the Jewish vote for DemocRATs, but it will be very clear to the rest of Americans.

North Carolina will be one of the areas of action. There are federal court cases already in progress and the basic math there is that the number of DemocRATs in the state is rather high relative to their Congressional representation which is strongly Republican. The RATs will exploit this and situations like it where they can.

How does this process work? I thought party in power (Congress/State) had the upper hand, not to mention didn’t zer0 unilaterally move the Census to the Executive branch?

Do they think seeding illegal invaders is going to change the census enough to change voting districts? In my state, the rural areas vote by township. I’ve seen the maps in urban areas with weird outlined aimed at making all minority districts.

Three years to go until the Census and I do believe Trump will make progress deporting illegals. Will that make a difference?

Can someone post a link &/or explain more fully?

Been following this idea for quite some time now.
Obambi’s Minions will challenge every election law they can.
Hammer away with Lawfare against small districts to set precedents.
Move the “Refugees” into Pubbie dictricts.
Give em the vote.
Switch and PROMOTE 2nd amenedmant.
Violence at every turn, screaming Police Brutality.

This has been exposed and written about for many years.
Do your homework, prepare to defend Liberty.

The Obama Foundation needs audited by the IRS every year. Criminal prosecution of the Clintons is in order. Disband and or de-fund quite a number of federal agencies (e.g. EPA). Etc.

Get Scalia replacement in ASAP and hope Ginsburg leaves quickly. Then the Republucans can sue to stop gerrymandering.

Anything the rats have done over the last 50 years needs to be changed.

I’d love to see Trump take a bit of time out during his inaugural speech to sign documents reversing Zero’s executive orders. Look and address a personal comment to Zero and say, well, you remember the 20000 pages of regulations you pushed? They are void as of now. Then get back to his speech like nothing happened.
