Obama has done a great job arming Hamas and wahabists.Where do you think those millions went 5 years ago to train only a dozen or so men? They didn’t buy swizzle sticks with the money.And they did not buy Russian.
Hamas is Sunni (Muslim Brotherhood style) with some Nationalism and third worldist liberation ideology thrown in.
They are not Salafi/Wahabbi ala ISIS or al-Qaeda.
While Hamas is Sunni (like almost all Palestinian Muslims) they are supported for strategic reasons by the Shia alliance (Iran, Assad, Hezbollah).
It is an odd marriage of convenience that is fragile... Hamas has been trying to get Qatari support... but it still is at the moment clinging to Iran.
