Fake News Plus Fascism: New York Times Urges Boycott of Breitbart
Breitbart.com ^ | 8 Jan 2017 | Joel B. Pollak

In two op-ed articles for the New York Times‘ Sunday Review, the Gray Lady attacks Breitbart News and its founder, Andrew Breitbart, and encourages an effort to “destroy” the company by appealing directly to advertisers not to support the website.

One article, “How to Destroy the Business Model of Breitbart and Fake News,” written by someone actually called “Pagan Kennedy” (was “Antichrist Roosevelt” not available?) celebrates the flagging effort of anonymous Twitter trolls who have tried to target and intimidate companies whose ads appear alongside Breitbart News articles, via third party platforms.

These would-be censors of the totalitarian left have decided that since they cannot defeat conservative views and arguments on the merits, they would prefer to eliminate them.

The Times, which prides itself as a guardian of free speech and press freedom, gives its backing to this (unsuccessful) campaign with nearly 2,000 words of space. The article includes instructions on how to join the anti-Breitbart effort, copied verbatim — “Step 1… Step 2…” — from the anonymous activists’ Twitter page.

And Breitbart News, the “biggest fish,” is not the last intended target: the group declares that it “would like to broaden its campaign to take on a menagerie of bad actors.”

Evidently it is very important to the Times that this failing, and anti-democratic, effort to censor Breitbart News be shored up, because it has allowed several embarrassing factual errors and omissions into the article which undermine both the credibility of the “Pagan” author and the so-called “paper of record” itself...

The NY Slimes is attempting to go after the competition with more fake news. The Breitbart business model is burying the Slimes business model. Adios Slimes...

The NYT is planning to rent out even more of its former floors in its new building?

They should sell the building to Trump, Inc.

When the powers that be tell me not to buy guns, I buy lots of them. And when they say I should not read a news source, guess what I do?

Even if all 7 NYT subscribers boycott it’s a minor issue.

Think how close we came to having “officially licensed media” had Hillary Clinton been elected President.

There was no shortage of relief on Nov 9.

I figured that I could only take about 2 years of Trump, but we'll see. I have Hope in him.

Fun watching another worthless liberal “business” go down in flames.

Adios, NYT, let’s start a pool on when you start selling off your next set of floors.

Breitbart will be there to report your very much welcomed demise.

They’re talking in a bubble. The type of person that reads and believes the NYT isn’t likely to be listening to Breitbart News anyway.

Are you actually posting that the though of having to listen to Trump take on the traitorous, anti-American establishment and the communist Democrat Party might be too much for you to take? Really? The only leader since Reagan with any fight and who puts America before every dubious international cause, mooching "ally", and appeasement of those who would do us harm and that bothers you?

Unbelievable....

No, Trump is not a conservative. He is the center Candidate that the GOPee has longed for. That he may well fix many things that the Clintoons and Hussein, Pelosi, Dingy, et. al. have broken is Great. With no long term idea of where he is going and how he will get PRyno and the Dingy Turtle on board with MAGA, he could easily wear out his welcome with all sorts of position flip/flops and shoot from the lip tendencies.

So far, so good. In two years there will be a change in Congress. Its magnitude and direction are quite foggy at the moment.

Your viewpoint makes more sense to me now but, please enlighten me as to how our current and former crop of Republican leaders has done to win one victory of substance that has pushed back the cultural Marxist agenda one little bit? I cannot believe that you are happy with the situation that we find ourselves in 29 years after President Reagan left office.

I wouldn’t trust the Republican Party to chaperone and protect the virginity of a 90 year-old spinster with the face of a bull dog.
