It was this commitment that helped propel Trump to the forefront of a crowded field of primary opponents ... and it no less helped distinguish him significantly from Hillary Clinton ... nationwide.
It will soon be show-time for Trump, ... millions of Americans are eager to see him follow through on this promise—...
There is some angst, that Trump and .. advisers might be taking a step back from ... a wall ... instead considering a virtual barrier, comprised of sensors and radars, .... That would be a serious mistake, ... it would signal a broken promise, ... virtual fencing--... has been tried before and failed. -snip-
The Trump administration would be foolish to revive the virtual border fence in place of reliable physical impediments and not learn from the lessons of the past. -snip-

Personally, a set number of shots. Maybe have a few 200 yard stations for the kids and the punters.

Or, cattle getting to the river. The gov’t is already in the process of taking private land for a “wall”. And even though a wall isn’t built yet, the ranchers aren’t able to get their cows to the water. Turns hundreds/thousands of acres of grazing land worthless if the cows can’t drink.
So true. Former farm boy myself, and raised a few cattle. Any "wall" has to conform itself to local conditions. The idea of a "one size fits all" solution is simply unfeasible in the real world.
Under no circumstances should water rights to the Rio Grande interfere with the construction of the wall. Texas is as big as France and all the other ranchers not int e Rio Grande valley, meaning almost all of them, can get water to their cows. They ranchers affected will be well compensated an should invest in wells or find another line of work.
Well, the nice thing about treaties is that we can withdraw from them.
