Israel does not need the F-35s to do this job, they use F-15s and F-16s with lethal accuracy. It could have been a F-35 test though...

Definitely sounds like F-35s. If they were not picked up.. Also possible that the Russians were happy to allow it so they could monitor and collect data....probably had all sorts of scanners looking at the whole area to detect whatever could be detected.
