Why Men Earn More: a detailed analysis of the Gender Pay Gap
YouTube ^ | Jan. 15, 2017 | Warren Farrell

Posted on 01/15/2017 4:40:04 PM PST by beejaa

Warren Farrell offers an in-depth analysis of the Gender Pay Gap, which results not from discrimination but from personal choices involving trade-offs between income, occupation, flexibility, and fulfillment. These decisions include choosing (or avoiding) hazardous occupations, unfulfilling occupations, willingness to relocate or be on-call, etc. He also examines employment discrimination against men, as well as situations that appear at first glance to be discrimination against women but turn out to actually be discrimination against men in disguise.

The entire lecture is 28:30 minutes long.

10 to 20 years ago Farrell showed women earn more than men.

Farrell is very good. Democrats just lie, lie, lie.

Nobody EVER refuted his legendary book.

Basically, men earn more than women because they need to.

Bunch of engineers went out to lunch, and one made the PC comment about the waitress (who was gorgeous) that “Nobody gave her a chance to be an engineer.” Following Warren Farrell I replied, “I’m going to teach her Calculus. But first you have to do the easy part, and convince her that she can’t attract the opposite sex unless she learns it.”

That put paid to that subject.

It is a rather short video, but worth watching.

In my experience, women simply don’t want to work the hours; even when they are given false promotions and raises to fend off lawsuits, many still work the bare minimum - and children have nothing to do with it. Those who don’t have children use their pets or parents as an excuse to keep their work to a bare minimum. A few years back, I joined the other men in following suit - and the boss can’t do a damned thing about it.

They “work at home”. Some are good about actual work, and some are not.

Starting wage influences future increases. When you come into the company in your career affects your starting wage. How much experience you already have does too.

When you are on leave, that does not count towards any promotion or advancment for a person. You are not there doing anything. This affects advancement and raises.

The women I have worked with complain more about doing normal work. I avoided giving them harder stuff or more important work because most did not want it. They wanted the perks but not the work that would get them the perks. The guys were up for more of the difficult challenges.
