Now that you mention it, our Bigshots Cheney and Rumsfeld knew exactly what Saddam had because the US govt. gave the stuff to him - specifically the old chemical weapons that he used in the protracted Iran war and against the Kurds (not sure if that is disinformation, too). WMDs became the catch-all phrase to make We the Peasants think Saddam had nukes, which he didn’t or he would have used them to save his country. War criminals is an accurate label for the Bushes, the Clintons, Obama, Deep State, the Globalists in the EU, and their Puppetmasters for starting and maintaining the Mega-war machine. These people truly are the Deplorables.

I agree, but believe this is even worse than Vietnam and still hasn’t even begun to be fully played out. This is a fight of Good vs. Evil and our govt. has not been on the right side for a very long time.

I have NO doubt Saddam had WMDs... It seems every nation on God's green earth has them. George W. Bush had a responsibility to address to ‘we the people’ what was found. He did not, and would not. I expected more out of Bush and Cheney. I see them now as colossal failures that paved the road for Obama/Clinton to transform this nation. Let’s see. Saddam had WMDs - but instead of using them to defend his life and his regime, he sent them out of the country, and decided to be killed without defending himself.

In light of what appears to be the facts, this reason really holds no water.

Probably a better question would be, why would we attack Iraq if we knew he had WMDs and he used them before on his own people ?

If he had them, at what point should he have used them ?
and where would he have used them ? when he used them, what would be the response of the rest of the world ?

I don't have the exact quotes or how they parsed their words as politicians do to blunt political attacks but if they did lie, then it was the latter in saying there were no WMD’s in order to mitigate the damage of being perceived as being caught in a lie that was the basis for sacrificing the lives of so many American troops.

No, there were WMD’s but they were moved to humiliate Bush and to stem the tide of American patriotism. There's one thing the Democrats cannot tolerate if they want to keep power and that's a united America and there's nothing that accomplishes that like an illegitimate war. The Russians were in on it as well as the Democrats, working together, abetted by the UN. I'm sure McCain was in on it as well, Bush's old political rival.

Not terribly likely. The greater strategic threat from NK is selling WMDs to other nations and/or terrorist organizations. I would argue that's far more dangerous than being a direct threat as a nation. It's relatively easy to keep one nation contained. It's very difficult to halt numerous state and non-state entities in the same way.
