Accused airport shooter Esteban Santiago initially blamed his actions on government mind control but later claimed he had been "on the dark web" communicating in "jihadi chat rooms," with Islamic State terrorists or sympathizers, authorities said in court Tuesday.
... Santiago, 26, practiced firing his weapon at a gun range in Alaska in the months prior to the Friday, Jan. 6 attack at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The semiautomatic handgun Santiago used in the attack was the same weapon that was returned to him by the Anchorage police department in December, agents testified.-snip-
Agents said Santiago was released from psychiatric care in November when doctors said he was "deemed to be stable." Agents said he was not prescribed any psychiatric drugs while he was hospitalized or upon his release, just anti-anxiety medication and melatonin, an herbal supplement people use to help them sleep. -snip-
Santiago is due back in court Jan. 30. He is on suicide watch, in solitary confinement, at the Broward County main jail. -snip-

If prosecutors formally decide to seek the death penalty for Santiago, that would slow down the case, experts said. U.S. Attorney Wifredo Ferrer and his advisers would have to make an initial decision, which would then be reviewed by a U.S. Department of Justice panel, before a final decision is made by the U.S. Attorney General.

The Jihadi Esteban Santiago aka “AASHIQ HAMMAD” recorded “La ilaha illAllah”,“There is no God but Allah,” to his MySpace account in 2007.
Santiago was calling himself “Aashiq Hammad”, recording Islamic religious music online, and downloading Islamic terrorist propaganda all in 2007, 3 years before his first deployment to Iraq.
Now he admits to frequenting Islamic state terrorism websites and the jihadist chat rooms of ISIL.
If he worked at the airport they’d be foolish enough to sell it as ‘work-place violence.’

And his full name was Esteban Santiago-Ruiz. Dropping off the -Ruiz made him more difficult to research the killer. Using only ‘Santiago’ clouds his actual identity for a period of time -long enough to scrub connections to islamic terrorism.
It’s going to drive the media and the globalist so crazy if Trump begins using official government channels to categorize Islamic terror for what it is.

John Brennan- CIA director is the person directly responsible for removing all references to islamic terrorism from the NSS policies and training manuals on how to combat terrorism. He also eliminated all reference and usage of the word - Jihad and jihadist.
Once again, we had it right about two minutes after the murders. Hopefully the new prez does what is needed to shine light on the connections most of these events have with jihadist terror. This is two major ones in FL alone - Pulse and FTL.

Evidently, investigators have yet to find evidence that Santiago actually visited 'jihadi chat rooms'. The only thing they have now is a claim from the delusional Santiago that he did visit them.
The mind control claim was a scam to set up an insanity defense. He knew the crooks in the media and government would run with it.
