Just add $135 million to the tab for the wall. For all that Mexico has “done” to this country, we need to make the bastards pay dearly. Personally, I think Mexico needs a good civil war that culminates with the the execution of all the Castillian Spaniards there. They have controlled that crap hole "country" since it's inception and Mexico will never amount to anything until they are all gone one way or another. And they also should round up Carlos Slim and take every dime he has. He is the personification of all that is wrong with Mexico.

IMO - it is proper to give some assistance to some nations. But, there needs to be a criteria used in determining whether a nation is eligible. For instance if a country is a sworn enemy of the USA, no money. Also countries who are not stated enemies but act against the USA’s best interests, no money. You get the idea - use a criteria!!

Arguably, a small portion of this aid is directly useful to America’s interest in trying to prop up Mexico, which is on the brink of failure as a nation-state. Most other projects seem to be nothing but liberal dogooderism.

From the linky...

“Mexico continues to be a strong partner of the initiatives that complement the United States’ programs to address the root causes of unlawful migration from Central America.”

You are flat assed wrong. Your Trump derangement syndrome is getting the better of you. Nothing will satisfy you except a check from Mexico, signed by the president apparently.

Very simplistic, but wire transfers to Mexico are easily tracked and can be interdicted. All the cartel money can be seized and used. Tariffs are a legitimate tool as well as stopping all foreign aid.

You are playing word games. Yes, they are paying for it.

“Is that North America, South America or the U.S.A.?”

When people speak of America, it means the USA. When the news mentions an American soldier has done something, nobody stops to ask if it was some Chilean or Brazilian.

“Then they’ll bypass wiring the money and give it to coyotes and/or cousin Pablo hoping it’ll get delivered.”

Physically carrying those amounts of cash, from Iowa, From Seattle, From New York City, from Virginia, allllll the way across America, and then through a newly secured border? Maybe doing this once a year... MAYBE? They’ll pay the 20%.

Smart ass. You play the same game the press does on springing world leader names on candidates. SO what if he called a former president of Mexico Vincente instead of Vicente? Same difference.

Look up “prig” in the dictionary.

The coyote business will not be what it is now once the wall goes up.

Nothing will satisfy me but the wall. And if we have to pay for it then fine. I don't care. But let's drop the fantasy that Mexico will.

Very simplistic, but wire transfers to Mexico are easily tracked and can be interdicted.

The original post said wire transfers from illegals. I was wondering how they will tell.

But while we're on the subject, go ahead and enact the tax on wire transfers to Mexico. Before the ink is dry on the President's signature, the Spanish radio outlets will be filled with ads from people who will get your money to Mexico by routing it through Canada or Jamaica or Belize. And all for less money than the federal tax would be.

Or didn't you think of that?

All the cartel money can be seized and used.

Once the legal proceedings have dragged to their lengthy conclusion.

Tariffs are a legitimate tool as well as stopping all foreign aid.

But both are paid by people in the U.S., not by Mexico.

You are playing word games. Yes, they are paying for it.

Of course they are. But like I said, build it and I don't care if we pay for it. As long as it's up.
