Concerned for Trump after talk of 'seriously' reforming entrenched Intel community and State Dept?
Solace

Posted on 01/21/2017 9:27:34 PM PST by Bigtigermike

After the slap down in his inaugural address against the elites and picking a fight with the intel community and the military industrial complex in State Dept, I'm not quite sure if Trump truly knows or perhaps he does know how entrenched those career people are.

Different presidents come and go but these people are there seemly forever and do what they want to do and will go around a presidents viewpoint and disregard what the President wants. Reagan had problems with them in 1980s and I fear that they may do dastardly things against President Trump . I'm not so much into conspiracies but to keep their power, I do know man can do some wicked and aweful stuff and not think twice about it. Praying up for all that is about to happen in the coming weeks and months

I heard part of his speech at the CIA today. He seemed to be getting good response and good applause. Of course, you never know what is really going on.

President Trump said, “I like honest reporting.” That was music to the ears of the rank and file intelligence analysts and officers.

I believe loyalty, patriotism and love for an honest, real, up front POTUS right now is whats the building force.

They had 8 years of tied tongues and crossed fingers.

Not anymore.....

My take is Trump is building contacts within the CIA to ferret out the dirty actors.

The fish rots from the head down, so he has to replace the head and down from there as far as the rot extends.

The career guys in lower levels are the ones doing the actual work and are probably fine.

Trump will not tolerate leaks. He didn’t get where he is with an organization that can’t keep secrets. He will not tolerate leaks within the US government. No more cameras on the landing beach welcoming the troops.

CNN was claiming in the last hour that the rank and file were applauding, but that the leadership (non-political) were absolutely stone-faced.

Do you think this is true? How does Pompeo replace these high level bureaucrats

Didn’t JFK just ignore the entire State Department?

"How does Pompeo replace these high level bureaucrats?"

Amend their job description to reflect that their new duty locations are required to be in some small cities in the Midwest and South .. Cleveland (Ohio), Birmingham (Alabama), Flint (Michigan), Gulfport (Mississippi), etc .. and watch the retirements/resignations roll on in ...

Well, one thing they might consider; The President is looking into the ability to remove people from positions of power .. if they are involved in “fake news” issues.

I hope he can do this because it’s one of the MAIN PROBLEMS in government. These people commit crimes upon the citizens, and they are never prosecuted.

I understand that he’s setting up a lot of intel offices in Prudhoe Bay.

Sorry for the ugly.
Trump will be killed before May of 18.
And we will be played again.
Why would this not happen?

Do a little research on the CIA director’s background.

No way he should even have a security clearance.

IIRC before the election each of the candidates had to receive some intel from the spy community. There were threats at that time from the spys, that they intended to withhold vital intelligence from Trump if he became president.

Now, it’s possible those threats were ‘false news’, but the fact is, they did EXACTLY that when they failed to have a discussion regarding his so-called Russian connection, and the ‘golden showers’. Not to mention the leaks to the lsm regarding briefings.

From my own experiences in life with deceptive people, these seemingly small incidents spell a huge warning to Trump and should be taken as such. Then of course, Mr. Stone claims he was poisoned with a radioactive substance which made him extremely ill.

So if President Trump shows a disdain for the intelligence community, I really can’t say I blame him one bit.

This corruption is like a systemic infection requiring antibiotics and a sterile room with filtered ventilation to stop it in its tracks...like ebola. It contaminates absolutely everything it comes into contact with, such is the level of corruption today. I don’t even think Noah’s day can hold a candle to what’s going on today, but then we were warned it would be like something never seen before.

If I’m not mistaken, the fact that it’s being exposed like it is, means that chances are a great many private folks are seeing a similar thing occur in their own lives and the lives of those around them. I’m seeing it in people around me, that’s for sure. It’s a good time for those with an ‘eye’ and an ‘ear’ to look deep inside and do some personal closet cleaning.

Sorry - but with respect it is difficult with the national security agencies. These top bureaucrats have a lot of classified knowledge -—

So in the past they have found them other jobs - in universities, other govt agencies (especially the pentagon).

I (very tangentially) know a very senior NSA manager that is now at U of W. Basically he got a position to live out his working career.
