The end result will be more white males flipping to the GOP or going independent. The Democrats are playing with fire here. They’ve already alienated many whites in this country and they have a simmering battle between blacks and Hispanics taking place in the background as both groups vie to be the most powerful group in the Democrat Party. The GOP has its own problems to be sure, but the real party meltdown is occurring with the Democrats. They have so many different groups who don’t want to be a slice of the pie and share power. They want the pie all for themselves.

Not to mention the delicious brawls between Black, Hispanic and Feminist candidates that are surely coming.

Chickenpooper. He doesn’t have a spine. Would authorize the execution of a murderer and passed the buck to the next governor. He claimed he didn’t have the heart to sign the execution order.

Perfect!

As the most lukewarm milquetoast ever, he would be easy to beat.

I’ve worked with this guy (not politically, non-profit stuff). Don’t underestimate him.

He is sneaky good at retail politics.

He has no chance. Hick's shtick here has been to bill himself as a business friendly Democrat. He's with them on issues like abortion and gun grabbing, but he has also restrained the Dems from their worst anti-business instincts.

Only if the Dems have a DLC type moment where they realize they have to pull back from their leftist craziness would a Hick get the nomination. They aren't there yet, if they ever will be. My prediction is they will try to follow the UK Labour Party to oblivion.

Yep. 2020 is gonna be a real mess for them. Hispanics are going to demand one of their own at the top of the ticket, and how will that sit with black voters? Blacks and Hispanics will not be able to share power and that will fragment their party. Meanwhile, they will continue to lose white voters. If Trump has a successful four years the Democrats will be reduced to being a coastal party, and I could see Trump maybe carrying an extra state in the midwest like Minnesota, a western state such as Colorado, and a northeastern state like New Hampshire in 2020. The Democrats are in deep trouble if they’re even aware of it.

"The prospect of Hickerloopy as a viable alternative in
the face of overwhelming repudiation of the liberal agenda
is just plainly pathetic. Come on, now guys! Why is this even being floated?
Is this the Kamikaze wave of the Divine Wind?"

There's always Hillary waiting on the sidelines. ;>)
