The charges filed against Democrat Ray Gallison in federal court Monday include mail fraud, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and filing false tax returns. Gallison, an attorney, acknowledged taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from a dead man’s estate and other misconduct.

“This says something about our political culture here, which I think should get our attention,” U.S. Attorney Peter Neronha said during a news conference announcing the charges and plea deal.

He listed a long string of local and state public officials his office has prosecuted and sent to prison, including former House Speaker Gordon Fox. …

What’s the population there, about 500? And that’s after the Great White fire decimated the gene pool.

There’s counties bigger than Rhode Island...............

Harding County NM is twice as big as RI and only has 700 people. 26 of NM's 33 counties are bigger than Harding.

Yet RI has 2 senators and 2 representatives and population just over a million.

San Bernadino County in CA, is 20x the size and has over 2 million people.............

They make Massholes look like pikers. When I worked in the area when Roberts was Gov of RI, the saying was, “The only thing that wasn't for sale in RI was his daughters virginity. This was because no one offered enough.”

Gordon Dennis Fox (born December 21, 1961) is an American attorney and politician from Providence, Rhode Island. He served formerly as the Speaker of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, before resigning in disgrace. A member of the Democratic Party (United States), he was first elected to the legislature in 1992. On June 11, 2015 Fox was sentenced to three years in Federal prison after pleading guilty to charges including bribery, fraud, and filing a false tax return.

Fox was elected Speaker on February 11, 2010 as the first openly gay Rhode Island man to hold that office. Fox resigned from the Speakership on the evening of March 22, 2014 following an FBI raid on his Smith Hill office and his home on Providence's East Side. The FBI found Fox to have stolen $108,000 in campaign contributions and accepted $52,000 in bribes. He is currently serving his sentence at Canaan U.S. Penitentiary in Waymart, Pennsylvania.

I find it fascinating that somehow they all seem to wear the same suit.... :)

That brings up a point. ANY public employee convicted of a felony should be summarily fired from his job. This includes employees at the highest level, to the President!
