The Boy Scouts of America announced Monday that it will allow transgender children to enroll in scouting programs.
Boy Scouts chief executive Michael Surbaugh said in a video message that the organization will now accept boys based on the gender a parent puts on a child’s scouting application, ending a policy of accepting boys based on the gender listed on a child’s birth certificate.
“We realized that referring to birth certificates as the reference point is no longer sufficient,” Surbaugh said in a video message. “Communities and state laws are now interpreting gender identity differently than society did in the past. And these new laws vary widely from state to state.”
Surbaugh said the new policy goes into effect immediately.
“Our organization’s local councils will help find units that can provide for the best interest of the child,” he said in a written statement.

It is sad that so many boys will not have the same experience I had in Boy Scouts and similarly the wonderful time my son had. BSA is in its final days. Makes me sad.

Never mind the sick notion of “transgender children”, which means the kids in question are in the custody of abnormal people and need to be taken out of that situation.
Yep I never understood the idea of transgender children. Children are still growing and developing and maturing.
To me, its one thing for adults to have gender dysphoria and feel some need to identify with the opposite sex. Its quite different for us to do this to a child.
I’m sure all of these new “boys” in the Boy Scouts will have liberal parents pushing this on them. Or perhaps just a liberal mother with no father in the picture.

The Boy Scouts was an important part of my life as a youth.
Camping, firearm handl;ing and safety, hunting, how to be self sufficient and resourceful - those are the kinds of things we learned at a young age.
Now I wouldn’t want any young man to have anything to do with the organization.
The Scout Oath:
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Sad, but society no longer deserves the Boy Scouts.

The Scouts are done. Once they allow homosexual to openly enroll, the troops will become infiltrated with them and the masculine boys will no longer want to be members. Straight, masculine boys don’t want to be with pufters and the sexually confused. Part of the problem is the feminization of boys in public schools, which no doubt lowered enrollment. If they think allowing the trannies is going to help, they’re in for a big surprise. What boy would want to be a member of a group with such members?

I have a cynical suspicion that it usually works like this: If you are a politically correct leftist, labeling your child a transsexual will get you invited to all the right parties, where you will be the center of attention. You can dine out on a transgender child for years.
