... Yup .... This was just down the street from CNN and across from Amoeba Music and close to KTLA. There are also a bunch of small Movie/TV studios in the area. My guess is that this is just business as usual and a typical day for LAPD. Probably just another L.A Denizen Whackjob acting out his Cause-Dejour.

My wife & I were a couple of 19 y/o kids from Ohio and loved living there at the time.
From going to the beaches (Malibu to Huntington), Las Vegas, walking Sunset & Hollywood Blvds and even exploring the Hollywood Hills and canyons, it was so much fun and totally safe.....except for that Manson guy and his gang since we lived ~ 10 minutes from Sharon Tate’s home.
I was there the day before, I will tell you that it is NOT SAFE to Walk anywhere after dark in this Area, Basically anything East of Fairfax should be OFF LIMITS for Most Americans.
We were living near Sunset/Vine during Manson’s attacks - both at the Tate house and the LaBianca couple. As a couple of 19 y/o kids from Ohio, it was intense.
I last visited LA/Hollywood ~ 5 years ago on business and got out of there as quickly as possible.
