The Democratic National Committee expelled a candidate for the committee’s chairmanship on Tuesday after he said he didn’t believe his rival should become the party’s leader because of his Muslim faith.
Vincent Tolliver, who previously ran an unsuccessful campaign for Congress in Arkansas, told The Hill in an email he didn’t believe his rival Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn) should become chairman because of his Islamic faith, citing the religion’s positions on homosexuality.
“His being a Muslim is precisely why DNC voters should not vote for him. Muslims discriminate against gays. Islamic law is clear on the subject, and being gay is a direct violation of it. In some Muslim countries, being gay is a crime punishable by death,” Tolliver wrote.

Being a party exclusively of identity groups is insane. The various groups have different interests and every one of them wants to be the top, most oppressed group. After what happened in Orlando and with information widely available on the internet about near daily executions of gays in Iran, it’s astonishing that gays will stay with the Democrats. Or, women, for that matter.
And, what about all those old white people in high party positions? Is their job to make all the other old, highly placed rich white people in the party sit down and listen?
Doesn’t he credit for qualifying his position?
If he had left his comment at simply by “virtue of being mudslime” I would understand their response but, here, he is pointedly and demonstrably correct in his observation.

Yep...not a surprise. If they really cared about gays...they would be fighting sharia.
Finally. Someday Dems are going to have to confront that dichotomy. They embrace an ideology in which gays are hurled off of rooftops and girls are treated to genital mutilation.
A sane person would experience extreme cognitive dissonance. But Libs are experts in hypocrisy.
Sooner or later, though, reality is going to break through. I kind of thought it would be when Pelosi took her unauthorized jaunt to Syria—she might have gotten her head sawed off and clarified things a bit.
But, the day of reckoning may be upon us. They’re starting to eat their own. This is very good indeed.

I almost feel sorry for the dude. He tells the absolute truth and gets punished for it.
Please let Ellison win!
