I would word it like this:
Buddhists can get along with Islam, but Islam refuses to get along with Buddhists.
Japan doesn’t even allow them entry. They apply critical thinking and logic to their daily existence. They don’t even need a Trump for that.
It’s really quite easy to get along with Moslems. Accept that you are by definition inferior to them in every way and that they are entitled to all your stuff and everything’s peachy.
The only group that approves of Moslems are liberals, and the Moslems hate them.
Islam has been doing this for 1400 years, there will always be conflict with those who are different, once they have enough mass in an area.

Nobody likes muslims. But many are afraid for whatever reason... to say so.
(i)slam always was and will continue to be a “Religion” what leaves a lot to be desired and eventually as mankind advances and progresses it will meet its demise. Just like a variety of other “isms” over time. On the other hand well founded and peaceful institutions will survive. When the time comes, and come it will, it will not be pretty.
You know, when you can’t get along with the guy who’s so gentle he will sift sand before he sits down to avoid hurting any insects the problem must be you.
I grew up around Buddhist monks in Thailand back in the 60’s. A loving group who strives for completeness through reflection on the philosophy of Buddha.
I have also seen them pissed... twice. They are not to be trifled with and will not hesitate to beat you badly.
