Eli Manning has been a charity Super Mann for years, and now the NFL has officially recognized it.

The Giants quarterback was named the co-winner of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award on Saturday night, sharing the award with Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals

The two-time Super Bowl MVP is the first Giant to win the award, which was established in 1970 and renamed in 1999 after the late Hall of Fame Chicago Bears running back. It’s only the third time in the award’s 47-year history there have been co-recipients.

Cardinal Larry Fitzgerald? Can he sprinkle holy water on me before going out on the field?

One has to be PC nowadays and recognize “the efforts” of “special people”...

Not Kaepernick? I’m surprised.

What problem do you have with him? Not a Cardinal fan at all but he seems like a genuinely good guy and role model.

Just a joke. I know nothing about him. When I first read the headline I actually thought they were talking about a Cardinal named Larry Fitzgerald sharing some kind of an award with Eli Manning. I had to read it a couple of times to see what it was saying but I thought the mistake was funny, so I posted it.

Can’t we use a little humor once in a while? Does everything have to be so serious?

Fitz is awesome and definitely worthy of this award.

He is a fellow grad of my Alma Mater, Valley Forge Military Academy. He is a true leader on the team and with philanthropic matters.

Can’t post pics from my phone but here is a link to a pic of him putting a soldiers hat back on after it fell off.

Class act and my fave player, despite not even liking football.

Eli’s da bomb; when you see the praise (rightfully) heaped on Brady, dopey Eli beat him twice in the Super Bowl - and personally played a key role in both wins. Totally unflappable...

I have always disliked Eli Manning primarily because of his attitude when he was drafted.

I am willing to change my mind about him, though. He has apparently done a lot for children’s health in his home state.

If you didn’t watch the show and see the reasons for the two of them you should try to find it and watch, two truly humble MEN doing for sick children all they can. Fantastic!

Why was the other white guy eliminated? Imagine the bitching if Fitzgerald was left out and the other 2 were co-winners?
