Perdue, Cotton File RAISE Act to Reform Outdated Immigration System, Protect American Workers

Two Republican senators took up the baton for populist immigration reform Tuesday when they announced their Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment, or RAISE Act, designed to raise wages for ordinary Americans, restore legacy immigration levels, and reset family and worker visa programs. “We are taking action to fix some of the shortcomings in our legal immigration system—returning to our historically normal levels of legal immigration will help improve the quality of American jobs and wages,” said Georgia’s Sen. David A. Perdue Jr., who served on the chamber’s Judiciary Committee and was one the first and foremost Senate supporters of President Donald J. Trump’s campaign. Purdue was joined by Arkansas Sen. Thomas B. Cotton, his co-sponsor.

“This is a first step,” Perdue said. “It is not a sweeping, comprehensive attempt to solve all legal immigration problems, nor does it address illegal issues. We are simply trying today to bring a rational, compassionate approach to this issue inside the immigration conversation.”

I’m laughing at the Democrats more and more. We’re hit by so much, and the Republicans too are not going fast enough in getting things done.
No one it seems can keep up with Presdient Trump. he is moving at warp speed. Full speed ahead.

I hope it does away with that STOOOOPID Diversity Lottery Program.

Some random bloke walking down the street in Yemen should NOT be able to walk into our Embassy and toss his name in a hat for a chance to become the Lucky Winner of a Green Card.

We need to pick and choose immigrants who advance OUR best interests as a nation.

No one has quite explained what “Comprehensive” Immigration Reform even means, or what is wrong with current immigration law.

Go back to the Ellis Island version and the USA thrives, securely.

“Overall, you will see a reduction in the number of immigrants, but you may see an increase in other categories, where there is an empirical and demonstrated need for more immigrant labor–particularly among the skilled and the ultra-high skilled,” he said.

I smell an H-1B sellout coming. I don't trust anyone but Trump.

These douche bags always use the high skilled(H-1B ) as justification for everything. F these guys. ALL AMERICANS NEED PROTECTION. What don't these fart wagons ever get it? Somebody always HAS to be thrown under the bus.

“Immigration reform” is code for open borders and amnesty.
