Four people who worked for the House of Representatives have a history of massive debts and bankruptcy, a fondness for fast cars and real estate, and unusually complicated webs of intertwined finances.
The three brothers and a wife of one of them are under criminal investigation into sensitive congressional information security.
Chiefs of staff for dozens of Democratic lawmakers who employed the four were informed last week that a criminal probe was underway into their use of congressional information technology systems, including the existence of an external server to which House data was being funneled, and into the theft of and overbilling for computer equipment.
Brothers Imran, Abid, and Jamal Awan and Hina Alvi, Imrans wife, each made $160,000 a year as information technology workers for the House. Their salaries and time were shared among dozens of Democratic members, including former Democratic National Committee Chairman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida. The lawmakers also include members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Despite the generous salaries, the four were involved in multiple suspicious mortgage transfers and a debt-evading bankruptcy. Abid had more than $1 million in debts following a failed business called Cars International that he ran in Falls Church, Va., from November 2009 to September 2010. Business associates said in court documents that Abid had stolen money and vehicles from them. . .

This justice dept is gonna send so many people to federal prison they’re gonna have to build new ones.
I would LOVE to see Debbie What’s Her Name go to jail!!
Rush had this today. Buncha geniuses in Congress.
Wonder what region of the world those names come from?
Iceland? Patagonia? Czech Republic?
Or am I a hateful xenophobic racist bigot to merely ask a question like that?
The question is, what were they doing with the data they stole?
Did a foreign power have access to that server...omg.
No wonder the DNC refused FBI requests for access to hacked servers.
Ya don’t suppose the DNC computers had porn or child porn on them do ya? Naw! Couldn’t be ! /s
Wonder if the attended Falls Church’s Dar al Hijrah mosque?
Geeze! Just when you thought this story couldn’t get any worse, it does.
Selling it no doubt.
No doubt. I don’t think it out of personal curiosity. But to whom?
Bill Clinton and Imram. (hat tip Albon Wilde).
The scum brothers must be big donors to The Clinton Foundation. You dont get that close to a Clinton unless you gave big money.
L/E should also checkout:
The Imrams' interaction w/ the Clintons and their various foundations.
The Imrams donations to the Obama foundations.
The Imrams' visits to the Obama White House;
The Imrams' donations to the DNC and various Democrats.
The Imrams' travel dossier to jihadist countries.
The Imrams' cashing other US govt checks.
The Imrams' visa status.
Meet the denizens of the swamp. Too busy feathering their own nests than protecting US citizens' safety and security.
INTEL GANG OF EIGHT
INCONVENIENT FACTOID Back in Sept 2014, Senate intel head Di/Fi was whining about the CIA looking through her computers and taking documents. Clearly, the CIA had plenty on her.
Incidentally, besides her close ties to the Clintons, there's Di/Fi's husband's "investment group" and the story on hubby Richard Blum managing to obtain several Billion dollars taxpayer-funded govt contracts .....
DiFi and her hubby know a thing or two about using her Govt status and influence to steer business and profits their way, too (like the Clintons).
Perhaps there should be the prospect of empaneled FBI agents with Grand Jury subpoena power investigating Di/FI.
Abid Awan, Imran Awan and Jamal Awan, are three brothers, foreign nationals who worked within the IT department for members of the House Permanent Intelligence Committee and have been fired during probe of security breach on Capitol Hill. A fourth brother and a woman they lived with also works IT on Capitol Hll.
(HAT TIP DAILY CALLER) EXCERPT Three members of the intelligence panel and five members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs were among the dozens of members who employed the suspects on a shared basis. The two committees deal with many of the nations most sensitive issues and documents, including those related to the war on terrorism.
Also among those whose computer systems may have been compromised is Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Florida Democrat who was previously the target of a disastrous email hack when she served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 campaign.
The brothers are suspected of serious violationns, including accessing members computer networks without their knowledge and stealing equipment from Congress.
Jamal handled IT for Rep. Joaquin Castro, a Texas Democrat who serves on both the intelligence and foreign affairs panels. As of 2/2, his employment with our office has been terminated, Castro spokeswoman Erin Hatch told TheDCNF Friday.
Jamal also worked for Louisiana Democrat Rep. Cedric Richmond, who is on the Committee on Homeland Security.
Imran worked for Reps. Andre Carson, an Indiana Democrat, and Jackie Speier, a California Democrat. Both are members of the intelligence committee, and their spokesmen did not respond to TheDCNFs requests for comment. Imran also worked for the House office of Wasserman Schultz.
Then-Rep. Tammy Duckworth, an Illinois Democrat, employed Abid for IT work in 2016. She was a member of House committees dealing with the armed services, oversight, and Benghazi. Duckworth was elected to the Senate in November, 2016.
Abid has a prior criminal record and a bankruptcy. Abid also worked for Rep. Lois Frankel, a Florida Democrat who is member of the foreign affairs committee. The three men are shared employees, meaning they are hired by multiple offices, which split their salaries and use them as needed for IT services.
It is up to each member to fire them.
The word “unbelievable” is inadequate.
This is a much more serious threat to the United States than Russians “hacking the election”.
Not much—to none—coverage by the DNC Media.
